I only know the name of of where these cool cosplay comes from. Does anyone know the story of Trinity Blood or where I can find good references for this genre of cosplay?

What would even be better is if someone can tell me where I can read synopsis of this anime/manga?

I have been done with Esther's full sisterhood dress, but only 10% with her decorations. I don't even want to mention Seth Nightlord. I would hit Radu before her. vol. 3 of the manga has been released if you need pics. IF not, Sneaker has the latest stuff and Asuka has month release.

The anime is very new. The novel and mangas are at least 3 years of age, however. Appropriately, TB is the darling of the Japanese cosplay scene even longer than that.

The wonderful thing about TB costumes is that the general silouette and colors are very recognizable if one is a fan of the series. You honestly don't need all of the details and other stuff because the shapes are easily identifiable for each character or just a generic uniform. Unless you're cosplaying Peter Abel, Cain, Asthorash Asran or Lilith, because each have very specific looks, colors and jewelry associated with them.

Are the mangas really that old? They're just being released. If you want an example of the manga art, I can scan some of mine at a later date.

Re: Abel Nightroad's wings - in the manga they're large, black, and feathery. Although I forgot how many there are at the moment. A least 2.
Location - Italy is very important (due to the Vatican and Rome), but the beginning of the novel starts with a map with locations, and it shows all of "Europe", including parts of Russia.
German - Rozen Kreuz, I believe, is the correct spelling.

Thanks for the info, Eleryth. ^__^ Edit, yeah, the manga is only one year and something months old. I think. But it can't be more than that. The writer's death complicated a few things though the manga adaptation already had the green light.

I think it's the novels that are that old because I've heard of it back in 2001 when I was there and saw illustrations by Shibamoto. I think it was something about the novels being released, a review of sorts, not the physical books themselves that are out so they probably came out around 2002. I know Shibamoto through the artist's work on the Five Star Stories, that was how I stumbled onto TB.

*nods* The illustrations are not the same as the manga as they are drawn by two different people so there is probably some confusion there.

I am planning on doing a Seth Nightlord, and trying to get all the details down is making my head spin. One of the main problems is I only have a small amount of illustrations - I have more cosplay pictures as reference so I am trying to match which cosplayer I think got a costume the most accurate then look at various angles of their work since have a drawing shortage of angles.

which one are you refering to???
i know there are three that i have illustrations for


-her in the green/white on cover of novel
-her in battle without headress, with two swords (or something similar to those huge things)
-her in her court dress (more elegant, more of an in-court gown)

Not the black & white one - the hat reminds me of a graduation hat and makes me giggle

Will attach image of cosplay ones I would like to find more references for. I really only have a few reference images for the cover one(left most outfit). If I could get enough reference to feel confident had most details, I probably would try making a couple of these as I like Vradica's style.

thanks eleryth for the link and wow everyone is so ambitious. I was just impressed by some of the pictues I saw in the members gallery and I have to agree that the accessories will be the cost maker for the costumes.

Second pic rahu-7.jpg from left to right would be Cain, Abel and Seth, at the top hovering over all of them would be their mother Lilith. You can see Seth's hairstyle.

Thanks so much for posting those, rahu-6.jpg at http://babu.jp/~cross/ was exactly the type of reference I am hunting for. I had a slightly blurry color pic but the black & white drawing there really helps. The cover Vradica keeps looking more likely, as that is all the drawn reference I have and the majority of cosplaying images it seems.

Thanks for the great seth pics. I'm also half way through making a Seth Nightlord costume (the cover one) only I'm doing inverted colors since white and green are not only bad colors on me but my school uniform colors. Always good to see more trinity blood cosplay! WHOT!!
