Hey guys, Im new to this thread but I was wondering if you can help me out please.

I'm planning on doing Dietrich and I wanted to do this giant doll that he has in this link http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y25...ans_199450.jpg

but does anyone know how I would go about doing it? All I can think of is food and obviously wood would be expensive. Anyone have any suggestions or commissioners that can do props that big? Any help would be appreciated ^^

Heimdall, my friend once did a project like the doll... then she dressed it up.

But her was quite fragile, but I'm sure if you were careful it would work. It was drafted out of regular paper, then drawn out onto that thick poster board (that's not foam board) then glued together. To make it very movable, hooks of wire were at all the joints, and the ball joints were foam balls, or styrofoam balls. Then you can paint it whatever colour.

Hope that helped, even though it was not a great explanation.

Another option might be to actually find a doll that is movable in those positions; and then go from there. Remove anything you want. Paint it a different color and attach some strings. But that's if you can find anything like that. Other than that - maybe check out crafting/art stores and see if they actually have a sketching doll and use that. Never know.

My suggestion: Shop around and be creative. =)

Heimdall: Maybe you could use something like this... You could probably find one that is cheaper on ebay..There seems to be different sizes, but it looks like you need one that is at least 2ft tall..

Ack, I haven't been here forever, and I come bearing bad news...
Basically, I am giving up on Ashta. I possibly make the worst blonde this world has ever seen. I might remake Abel sometime in the future, but for right now I'm distracted with my Doctor revamp and how I'm ever possibly going to afford it to think of anything Trinity Blood in the foreseeable future.
Anyways, I just thought I'd let any future Astha cosplayers in this thread that I'm selling my fabric. It's about 7 1/2 yards all together, 5 1/2 being the navy blue, 2 being white. If you want, I have all the trim I was going to use too and I could include that for no extra cost.
Here's a link to my ad in the marketplace, if you're interested:

This makes me sorta sad...

@ Shokora, your welcome hun. Your cosplays are all stunning and I very much look forward to your Shera.

I do miss Inoli, I hope shes able to fix her pc probs soon.

@Yazoo, sorry to hear that your bowing out of TB cosplaying for a bit. Its understandable. If I was doing Astra I would buy the fabric off but alas I'm not. I hope you find a buyer.

Hi everyone!

I'm about to start working on my Caterina costume this month, so I thought I'd go ahead and start posting here to keep track of my progress as I go. I have most if not all of the Caterina pics from the artbook, but if anyone has any other good ref images of her costume I'd love to see them!

Welcome to the thread Morluna! I'm assuming since you said artbook you're doing Vatican Catherine, correct? Good luck on her! As for reference images, I'm slowly but surely getting any and all images, artbook, novel, some manga and other illustrations up on this Trinity Blood Photobucket Account. Feel free to bookmark it, and use the images as you need, the password is THORES. And don't hesitate to ask questions if you get stumped

Wow, I feel bad for not posting in here for aaaages. I'm about 85% done with DoD/Feron, I'm working on her winged frontspeice right now. I'm a bit bitter that it's simultaneously doing what I want, but not, so I'll probably have to redo it at a later date. But right now I'm under a deadline for other things But as soon as it's 'wearable enough' I'll get some pictures. I love how tall I get to be in this sucker! Since we never see her shoes I'm totally using that to my height challenged advantage.

And I realized this will be the year of suits...so now I really want to get started on my Suit!Catherine. While I have material for it...I'm soo tempted to order some silk twill and dye it myself. We'll see what my insanity check i later.

Sorry yeah with both computer being on the fritz and the fact that any TB costume I have is either a: retired b: ripped up or c: still in progress I've taken a year from the costumes so I don't murder myself with cross bling.
Colar not stayin gup! dont wory ther's a simple solution for that. Viagra. HA! rather dont use stiff felt after sweatign and repeative crushing it goes limp agian. For Cain's collar I used several differnt methos picked up from Others on this forum and some I did myself along the way. A Stiff pellon or interfacing, even the plastic mesh for cross stitching at the frount and part of the sides will keep your collar upright. if you keep the back plain without support your poney tail and or hair wont look funny in it...[if you're doing a short haired character have fun and knock yourself out with a full pellon collar}
along the frount of it I put wire to keep the damned shape and helpt he collar remain upright.
3second exsplanation on how I do my collar... it's not the best and the only oppinion in the world btw, it's jsut how I do it.

Hello all.
This weekend I am starting on my Mirka Fortuna cosplay for Fanime.
I'm very excited - yet a bit nervous since I haven't made a cosplay since 2007 (came out of retirement). Also, my first cosplay was of a younger Cain Knightlord. ^^;;
So.. yeah.. (/at a lost of words).
Once I start on the outfit, I shall keep all of you updated on how far I'm getting.

oh! If you are going to be at Fanime, make sure you check out the Fanime forum on c.com! I have a thread there for the Trinity Blood gathering, as I'm the organizer for it at Fanime. We'd love to have you join us!

I don't have any new exciting news at the moment for TB costumes. Although I always enjoy seeing what everyone else is up to.
My next TB project for Empire Abel will start around June or July.

And I don't even have many pics from ALA that were on my camera for TB, either! And we did have some fun there. (Need the others to post their links.) There were some great photo ops with Ginryuu's Father Leon debut. LOL! (Even if it was her casual version, before she gets the Vatican version done.)

There's my few in here:

The Seth at ALA was aaaaaaaadorable. I was super sad I didn't have the DoD(or was even there) ready for it. And I do have to say LOVED Ginryuu's Leon. I heard that rosary was...erm...heavy with the holy spirit.

I am a bit depressed that my friend might not make it to the next con, she promised to be my popey...but if that doesn't happen I'll get her at NDK, muahahaha!

::head desk::
BTW, DoD is doooooooone, redid her cincher so it lays right, and did some of the quilting/detailing. So once I find if I have any hosiery without holes I'll get pictures. That would be the only upside to now being job hunting :: sigh::
