Al Elric (FMA)
http://nyko18.free.fr/0nline/im/imag..._fma_ed_al.jpg
(Al is the armor, for those of you who aren't familiar with FMA) What do you think is a good material to make this costume out of? I need something that isn't too heavy, but will pass as metal. |

Painted plastic works wonders. I was helping a friend create Yuna's theif blades, and we tried painted plastic, and they turned out wonderful. (They were deadly, and beautiful!)
It might be hot to wear the plastic around all day, (if you're taking it to a convention) but that's the best thing I can think of. |

Amethyst Angel creates very wonder looking cosplay items, not just accessories and armor. They make wonderful costumes too.
AA's theif blades are painted plastic, just to give you a pic of what my friend's turned out to be. (They looked ALOT alike. Too bad I don't have a picture of them) |
