As for black, I wouldn't try mixing it. You're better off finding a place that carries it. Because black is so dark, it may have undertones of the colours you use to make it with. That, or it'll just come out as very dark purple.

Edit: Aww, YamiBakura03 beat me to it =]

im sorry ^^"". yeah i i mean black is well hard...and yeah he better luck in finding the black itself while he uses other colors to mix for green.

So...which technique is better, this way, or Sharpies/Copics?

Will either of them come off on your costume? Mine has a higher collar, and I'm concerned about it getting color damaged by the wig.

Has this stained the skin top on anyone's wig?

well depends really. i mean if you wash all the excess from the wig dye. there wont be any staining. and im not sure on the copics. i only used sharpies.

but FW is much easier since you can buy the color and just mix them easiyl then using a sharpie.

A word of caution about Prussian Blue FW ink

This stuff is BLUE. Seriously blue. If you're using it to mix with another color, use less than you think you'll need. I added one squeeze and had to add about twenty (total, not each) of purple, white, and gray to get just a blue tinge on my practice sample! The next time, I used ten drops and got the perfect color.

A little bit of PB goes a loooooong way. (I did learn that it makes some beautiful shades, though, especially when mixed with purple lake!)

in my opinion i think it would be easier to fina the same style wig but in white and maybe you can tint it with silver or gray (if they make the color) and yes it is permanent unless you wash the wig in alchol.

Yes, you'd use the same kind of alcohol. They do make grey(Cool Grey is the color, I believe), and it should work just right for that character. You might want to mix it with a little blue (but as I noted, NOT Prussian Blue unless you added one drop or something) to get it that right color.

Hai! If your going to color your bright blue wig darker yes it will work. Just use a blue color and make sure to test first to get the color you want before applying it to the wig.

starcat: Thanks for the info! I havent use prussian blue but will have that in mind if i need some.

i would say the FW one is better if your going to dye the whole wig because it would cost less and you wouldn't have to buy so many sharpies to get ink, but if your just going to highlight the wig i think the sharpie one is better

Oh wow- this is a great method. I can't wait to try it =]

One question to those who have done this; Could this method work if you were to do just the roots? I know it seems a little bit out there but I need the roots lightly done for one of my wigs.

Thankies sooooo much in advice
