Naruto: Haku: Geta, Zori or Tatami sandals?

Hello ^^,

I was wondering whether Haku's (from Naruto) shoes/sandals were Geta, Zori or Tatami?

I just realized that there were so many different kinds of japanese sandals >__>;;

Geta: http://www.japanesekimono.com/geta.htm
Zori & Tatami http://www.japanesekimono.com/tatami_sandals.htm

All help will be appreciated Thanks!

They look more like the Geta, but I'm not entirely sure.

Tatami Sandals

http://www.japanesekimono.com/images/zori_sandal.jpg

Thats the ones, I did a project on Hakus outfit about 6 months ago at school ( Because he wears alot of the ancient japanese clothes
It couldnt be any of the other shoes because only these ones 1) look like the shoes he wears and 2) the other shoes are all formal or dressing gown shoes
These are the ones

I'd have to say neither. :P

www.janchan.com might have scans from one of the character books; she's still working on the website, though, so it might not be up yet. If you get this page, look at his sandals. They're about an inch high (at least), and have a small rounded section cutout on the instep.

Zori are solid all the way across the bottom and geta have a separate heel. They're still connected, though, so I'd lean toward zori. His clothes look similar to traditional Japanese clothing (as does a lot from that series), but none of it is exactly right - he's taken liberties with the designs.

However, if you were to puchase a pair, I'd probably say go for the geta like the 3rd pair on that website. They're more of a women's style, actually, but that's ok - Haku's pretty girly. I suggest this pair b/c I think they should be wood, and finding zori made from wood would be rather difficult. They're usually leather or vinyl.

I have the same book, so I'll scan the pic when I get home from work tonight, which won't be for about another 10 hours (haven't left, but don't have time right now to set up the scanner).

The ones I use are from Target. They are platform flip-flops from the women's section. They are the most accurate I could find, since Haku's are slightly platform.

i would say tatami/zori sandals she wears depending on what outfit she has on. as you can see in this pic:
http://www.blackannis.co.uk/agallery/haku.jpg
they look close to those shoes.
I definateley know they are not geta sandals. Those type are the ones that Jiraiya wears, Mugen, and Urahara from Bleach, and is usually a more masculine shoe type that is very blocky to walk in.
Just look up some reference shots of him on google and you can decide.
Hope that helps ^_^

I finally scanned the image from the book I've got. If you're going to buy something, maybe do like Lily-chan and see if you can find sandals that are all-over platforms. I think that would probably work the best.
