Obnoxiously Large Costume`s?
Hi all!
Well AnimeBoston is in a few days and I started thinking...my wingspan is over 6 feet. =X I`m really proud of my costume and think it came out great but it`s HUGE! Will people be annoyed with me? o.o;

I love wings, especially large wings. I personally wouldn't be annoyed
The only thing I find difficult is the whole getting through doorways thing, but great wings make it worth it ! Can't wait to see them |

As long as you don't barge through past people and are rude about it, then you'll be fine and most people will think it will be awesome too. You wouldn't barge past people though because that would hurt your wings and I bet you spent a lot of time on them.
Have fun! -Angel

oh wow! 6 feet! That sounds so cool. You know what? I think instead of getting annoyed, people would actually stand aside and let you pass through, assuming they've seen you.
Have fun~ |

Yep. People tend to stand aside for something like that so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
Just be careful.

My best advice to you is get a friend to be an 'escort' for you. Holding doors, clearing the way, warning people politely, giving you a hand, that sort of thing. Good luck. Post pictures! ![]()

Well, I don't see huge wings being terribly annoying. I'm honestly looking forward to seeing them, but then again I have a strange obsession with winged characters. I think obnoxiously large isn't the size as much as the costume itself. If someone thought it would be utterly hilarious to come as, say...the Great Wall of China, and all they had was a huge cardboard box that basically pushed everyone else out of the way, then I'd be annoyed. XD But a beautiful wingspan would make me happy.

I wouldn't be annoyed with you...if anything I'd be scared to death that I'd bump into you and ruin something. O_O

I don't mind large costumes. What I DO mind is when people step on my own large or trailing costumes >.< Please watch out people!! Having your costume ruined isn't fun! T.T I will try to watch out for others as well! Though yes, you might want to get used to wearing the large wings so you don't accidentally hurt people as well! XD Just wear them around a while and get used to them being "there," ya know?

I'm sure people will think the wings are cool. Just don't run into anyone if you can help it and if you do, just be polite. You might have some trouble getting around, though. Watch out for other people who might run into you as well, as it may ruin your costume T_T Wear them when you can to get used to 'em first.

But back to the topic. As long as your polite I don't think anyone would have a problem with it.
