Ottawa Costuming Club

Hey everyone! I was just wondering if there is anyone on here who goes to UOttawa (or Carleton for that matter) that would be interested in making a costuming club at the University of Ottawa. I know there is a fashion association, but I figure that costuming does not fit in with that. :P If there is anyone who is interested, reply or pm me. I'm not sure the numbers, but I know I need signatures to get the idea off the ground and get funding.

Hey, sorry I didn't post this in your earlier topic, but I have been busy. If you are interested in starting a new club in Ottawa that I am guessing is going to have a large crossover with the anime audience, I suggest you get in contact with SOAP. They can be a very big help with promoting your club as well as giving you advice. You might also want to get in contact with UOttawa Anime to help promote your club; and Anime @ Carleton (Carleton U's anime club) who have hosted a few Cosplay Socials during the last academic year and are planning to continue doing so.

If you are available later today (June 4th) and are in the Ottawa area during the summer, I suggest going to the UOttawa showing since people from all three groups will probably be there for some of the day... especially at the beginning, around 4pm.

Good Luck with your idea ! ^_^

Yeah, I've been trying to get some support from the Star Wars FanForce chapter too, but at the moment they're not saying much. I'm really hoping to see if there is any interest before I do anything, cause you need to have some people already supporting it before doing anything else really.

I guess the first question I should have asked was if there are any UOttawa students here. :P
