Since I was helping out with the anime room at Owlcon, I thought I'd do a quick school girl cosplay. My guy friends saw me w/o my jacket and told me that I looked like a waitress. ^^;;

Somebody kept assuming my Sora costume from .hack//SIGN was from something else. I forget what they thought it was from but whatever it was he said that he liked it. Then later he asks if I even watched said show he thought I was from. I was dumbfounded >>

Well... in my sanji cosplay I've been called Yuki, a schoolgirl, a waiter, and a secretary all in the same day. ^^;

My Tohru (Furuba) has gotten everything from Chii to Dejiko. You know, if I were hazarding a guess, neither of those would even cross my mind o.O I didn't have anything kitty-related to make it Dejiko, and if it were Chii I would've been the laziest Chii cosplayer ever (brown hair, no ears, no hairbeads!) I can only reason people toss those out because they're all characters who wear fluffy dresses 9_9 CC Sakura would've been a better guess, though.

My Sakuras are all over the map, too. I thought people would know it since it's Clamp, but apparently not. (Doesn't bother me or anything, it's just a bit surprising that only 5 or 6 people knew who I was at a large con.)

Every time I cosplay Jakotsu(Inuyasha), somebody always mistakes me for Kagura, from the same series. I've also had the odd comment ranging from Count D (wtf? o.O Jakotsu looks nothing like him, except for the lipstick...) to Slutty Geisha. -.-

Oh, the joys of cosplay. ^^'

Kind of! This year I cosplayed Princess Serenity from Pretty GUARDIAN Sailor Moon (live action) - she has long BLACK hair - and a few people came up to me and asked something like, "So, are you black Serenity or something?" XDD Actually, I only really ran into that in the masquerade back room... nearly everyone outside at the actual con recognized me, which is kind of interesting. XD

Well, this wasn't at a con.. but I was Knuckles one year for Halloween.. apparently people thought I was Clifford the Big Red Dog, or an Octopus. I'm surprised no one's said that about my Mars costume yet.

i'm guessing that since tsubasas chronicles isnt too well know (ok this excludes the swarms of CLAMP fangirls that wont leave me alone) only 13 eps have been released fansubbed at this point, i got i got mistaken for a dynasty warrior, while cosplaying as kurogane. other ppl just took pics of my friend dressed as fye cause the cosplay was cool looking. they had no idea what series fye was from.

then on a normal day where i was just wearing a black tee with a white ringer on it, and black pants with a black coat, 3 ppl mistakened me for duo from gundam wing.

when I cosplayed as MadHatter, from Angel sanctuary, a girl thought I was Full, from Guniw Tools, and in another con, when I cosplayed as Ryutaro, from Plastic tree, another girl thought I was cosplaying MadHatter...

When I was Subaru from .Hack//Sign, someone thought that I was a character from Final Fantasy. It was kind of funny though...XD

Several people asked me if I was "from FMA or something" once when I was in AC Tifa. . . of course, these people had no clue what Advent Children was when I told them what my costume was. Like, completely blank faces, "I've never heard of that", etc. (I didn't know that was possible at this point.) I'm guessing it's because of the dark hair and black clothes. . .

My boyfriend's Human Artemis costume is constantly being mistaken as Diamond from Sailor Moon. It's not much of a stretch though, so I can see why it happens.
