Tangles x_x

Any tips on how to get them out? I can't even run a brush through it right now, without the risk of busting LOTS of strands. Currently, I've just been running my fingers through it; working through the tangles as gently as possible. It's a synthetic wig, with shoulder-length strands, if it'll help any.

First, you can use detangler on a wig, and it helps a lot. You don't want to brush a wig either since wig hair isn't as firmly embedded in the mesh "scalp" as normal hair is on your head- it's simply not meant to take the strain of brushing. You can use your fingers or a comb to detangle it. What I usually do is spray on the detangler, and start from the bottom of the wig, sort of gently tapping the tangles downwards with a comb until they come out. The tip is just to be very gentle, and make sure you have the time, because it may take a while, especially for longer wigs.

Okay so brushes = evil. Gotcha. :3 Thanks for the advice. ^^ I'll have to snag some detangler in the morning.

Btw, I love your Tifa costume. Too bad I didn't run into you at AX. I would have loved to get a pic..

No problem. ^-^

Oh, and thanks! Unfortunately I only wore Tifa for a few hours at AX. :-\ But that's the wig I always have to detangle, and it's been cooperative so far!

They sell special wig brushes at wig shops/ beauty shops. They definitely help out a lot, and are specially made to comb out and straighten the wig without pulling out the strands.

The very first brush shown there is the one I have~

Can you use hair detangler on wigs for the same purpose?
