hey there guys! well i was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to make sakura's pink dress from CCS the 2nd movie? i plan to make it for my friend who has moved away to washington... must appreciation! ^-^

hm... i would reccommend silk or satin. However, satin does have alot of things bad about it, so silk might be your best bet. Silk is expensive if you get the good stuff though.

I'd recommend you avoid heavy silks or satins, they don't usually look too good in convention photos unless you have a knowledgeable photographer/good lighting.

*cheap* silks and satins look bad. Decent quality (prom) or high quality (bridal) silks and satins look fabulous, even in point-and-shoot photos. Flaws in sewing do show more in satin than cotton, but if it's well made and ironed either one of those fabrics would work fine. I wouldn't use silk for this unless you can get a medium or heavy-weight silk, which is pricey. A matte satin could work, as could sateen.

Yes, excellent point. If you can afford the nice stuff, definately worth it.
