Metrocon 4 June,2-4! 2006

METROCON 4 will be held June 2-4, 2006 at the TAMPA CONVENTION CENTER in Tampa, Florida. they have finally set a date.

Yay! It went a whole lot faster than last year, IIRC they didn't have a signed contract for the convention until December.

There is definatly a chance that I'll get to go this year, since I will be in Orlando during the summer. It will also be pretty close to my birthday as well!

LoL the con just keeps getting earlier and earlier in the summer...! XD Which isn't a bad thing for me, since I'd like to head to AX2006 as well in July.

This IS a pretty early announcement indeed.

Too bad it is the weekend right after Animazement. I have been trying to go to AZ for years unsuccessfully due to work/school conflicts. Though I could technically attend two cons in two weekends straight through, it could be a bit of a problem scheduling with my job.

I know already what costumes I want to make for Metrocon '06. I will have at least one of them finished by then.

Wow, quick announcement. I think my main costume will be Chii's peachy rose gown from the For Your Eyes Only Artbook, I have the pattern and I really want to bust out with something gorgeous and...BIG AND POOFY! Not to mention the bead work which I always love. I am also planning my Fushigi Yuugi group for this con (me as Nuriko), so I have almost everything settled as far as my costume schedule.

I had planned on going as Dark Mousy, but that all depends on if I can get a wig in time. ~_^ I wanted to do a bunch of new costumes but I don't think I'll be able to make Zechs or Allen in time. T_T Or have the money to, haha. *uses the "it's my birthday present" excuse to get to Metrocon* 0:-D

I will definitely be going as Roland Deschain on Friday, the last great gunslinger from "The Dark Tower" series by Stephen King, yay for pistols! ^.^ If I could complete Zechs in time for Metrocon, I'd wear him Sunday probly. And if I get the wig for Dark, I'll wear him Saturday since that would be the most comfortable costume to wear. ^_^ I hope Vic goes, whee! XD

This time around, I will make it to Metrocon for sure. I'm in the process of making two variations on Sabin from FFVI, one for normal wear and one for the Final Fantasy Ball, so hopefully everything will turn out well. I'm actually sewing themselves this time instead of using the iron on stuff.
I just don't like the idea of having to dye my hair blonde... It will make it almost impossible for me to do my Tenchi or Miroku costumes, but I can set those aside for a con or two.
Hopefully the costumes I'm working on right now will turn out well and I'll see everyone in June.
