Question .hack//sign: I Need Help with a Hat and some Gloves.

Okai, so I'm working on a cosply of Maha from the .hack//sign anime. So far, I've taken care of a mask, and the majority of the clothing, however, I need someone who can offer me advice/ suggest a pattern for Maha's Hat, (minus the ears) and a pair of gloves, one that would be white, and the other would be lavender. Any help that anyone could offer on how to achieve "good" looking ears would be appreciated as well. ^_^
Thank you all very much. I look forward to reading your responses.

**Hopes the Link works**

I don't suppose there is even any way someone might be able to refer me to some previously posted topic and/or website that might help me in some way... at least with the ears and gloves?

You could take a look at some patterns and instructions for making a Gandalf wizard hat or a Black Mage Final Fantasy hat. I think there are tutorials floating around for both (just saw a black mage one the other day in the FF forum).
Gloves have a million tiny pieces to them and require a lot of sewing. It might be easier to buy a pair. If you want them to be fluffier and more paw-like, you might be able to get away with a regular pair of gloves for the inside, trace your hand a little larger + seam allowance, and then sew an outer glove and then stuff in between the two pairs. There are glove patterns made by The Green Pepper pattern co. and Vogue if you decide you want to tackle them yourself.
For cat ears, I usually make mine kind of flat and not stuffed. I used some incredibly soft white velboa (a short pile fake fur with a non-scratchy knit backing) to make cat ears and tail for my Teneko outfit. I got the velboa from http://www.syfabrics.com and the info for making the tail from http://www.fox-dream.com in the Cosplay section. They also have another method for making cat ears on that site using Model Magic as a base. Mine are just folded triangles with an 18 gauge wire base shaped into a triangle with a curved base to give it a little depth and help them stand up. I was looking at the pink part inside my cat ears and thought they probably would have turned out better if I had made two triangles out of the pink flannel and sewn it right sides together and then turned it inside out before appliqueing it onto the ears. The edges would have been neater that way.
Oh, tip for working with fur...a seam ripper can be used to gently pull fur out of the seam so that the seam is fluffier and blends in better.
