Trucy boots for me are proving difficult as well ;__; I don't have more than around 20$ to spend on shoes and I really don't want to order online...at least I got my fabric, finally. And a stick. Yay...sticks.

Whoo! Got a pair of boots (they're 2 sizes too small, but they still fit okay) at a second-hand store for $1.50. It is indeed possible. But I'll have to make boot covers.
...Are the snackoos tasty? (*adds snackoo to spell check dictionary*)
Also, I was so proud of my broach when it came out of the oven that the first thing I decided to do with it was...toss it in the air. Yeah, I'm smart. Long story short, I had to make a new mini-diamond shape for one of the corners.
( Yeah, I like to tell people things they don't care about~~ [: )

What did you use to make your brooch? I am still looking for ideas on how to make my brooch for Lamiroir.

Kii-yeah, the snackoos are quite tasty, once you get used to them. they're really sweet though. and yes, the crunch is as loud as it's portrayed in the game.

Just to kinda.. jump into the thread XD;! I finally found a use for these yards of dark blue material just taking up space in my house!

Hopefully before Kumori-con I'll have been able to finish a decent enough Daryan costume!... [that wig, my god! I'm so excited to even try making it!]

Huntress - I made it out of Sculpey clay, silver and a mixture of green & a bit of blue. It's not the best, but I think it looks decent. ^^
Rikkizilla - That should be awesome! I've only ever seen one Daryan cosplay (and it looked great), so good luck~

You can try Ebay and hope and hope. A possibly cheaper alternative that requires some work would be to get a pair of cheap plastic glasses and color in the lenses with sharpie or glass paint.

I lucked out. I went to JoAnn's over the weekend, and they had suiting fabric 50% off. So I bought the materials for Mia Fey for only $30 US.

All that's left is the shoes.
