Easy, carefully shave little triangles at the ends of your eyebrows to make his jaggy-eyebrow-ness. ^^

Haha, kidding, although you could do that if you're that devoted to the cosplay. I'd probably just get a black eyeliner pencil and draw in the zigzags at the end of the eyebrow. It'll make your eyebrow seem longer than it should though. To sort of balance that out, you can start the triangles on parts of your existing eyebrow... (did that make sense?)

i ordered the wig and umbrella for my dahlia cosplay the other day, woo.
it's going to be a pain to attach the lace, considering we couldn't find wide enough lace so we have to double some. everything else is done other than those and the dress. I cut out butterflies from white cardboard and hotglued them to the shoes, which i found ones PERFECT. the butterflies to hang from the umbrella are also done, aswell as the sash.
AFO is in about a month and a half, so i'm not really worried :'D

I made Trucy's diamond-things in her cape in photoshop so I can transfer it to iron-ons when i get a chance to buy some. I figured that I'd share it, so here it is. It SHOULD be letter sized, but Photobucket might have shrunk it...

Hey, I'm making my broach for Trucy, and things aren't going quite as planned :/ I'm using fimo but the texture is crap. I suppose sanding it down and re painting it would be the best option~ but I'd like to hear how everyone made their broaches for a little help if you could :3

Well, I haven't started on the brooch yet, but I plan on using fimo clay and glass to make the brooch. Fimo clay for the silver part, and glass (either spray-painted green or putting green colored paper or paint just on the bottom, I haven't decided yet) for the actual brooch. I really don't know if that's answered your question or not...

I also have a question, actually ^^> For my cape, I have this shiny light blue material (it was the closest I could get to her color), and now I'm debating what I should do. I have three choices, I think.

Choice a. Double over the fabric so only the shiny side is shown (Shiny Side)
Choice b. Double over the fabric so only the dull side is shown (Dull Side)
Choice c. Not double over the fabric so that the shiny side is on the outside, and the dull side is on the inside.

Any suggestions as to which I should do?

Go for the dull, no question. IT still has a really pretty sheen without looking like tacky satin. I think the shiny side is just a little too much~

and you're using glass for the actual brooch, hmm~? interesting, I might look into that. I was using more fimo since I wasn't too keen on attempting to cast resin~

Wow, looking at that picture again, it really doesn't do the shiny side justice. I think the flash made it look like "OMGWTF shiny" (not to mention I think my camera's set on like monochrome or some fancy setting like that) but it's really not THAT shiny. Shiny yes, but not to that extreme.

Yeah. My mom found these:
Glass diamond-things

It's not exact to Trucy's diamond brooch (because the ends are supposed to meet in the middle), but I think it will have a nice overall look to it...

eh, I just see a lot of dollar store satin cosplays that don't look so great on camera~ I think a light sheen looks best. Though a lot of people don't use satin at all for Trucy! But if the wrong side has a sheen to it, it might be a little less over powering and still shiny looking~!

ajsndkasjdnaknf those diamonds are lovely *_* I think they're too small for mine, but your brooch will come out beautifully!

I'm going to have to agree with Megguplant here. Definitely go with the dull side. Even if it does look better in real life, it won't look that good on camera.

I'm working on Pearl cosplay for Otakon.

WTF, I don't understand how her obi bow works....I could only find reference art of her left side and and front...

It looks like the bow is going through her coat???
Can other Pearl cosplayers help me out on this? Anyone have any more reference art for her?

OMG that's beautiful. How did you make it out of plastic?

And thanks for the input everyone, I'll be making it with the dull side.

Is the outer part made of plastic too, or is that clay?
