I just wanted to know if anyone plans on attedning Llamacon. Its a one day con in Mass. But it looks like its goig to be a lot of fun ^_^

Well, there's a surprise - I was expecting to have to come here and create the thread myself! Or maybe send a minion to do it ;-)

We're excited to hear that Llamacon's name is spreading quickly - we really went to encourage people to come to our forum and start posting there, because we want to meet you guys and help work with you to make a better convention. Because we're focusing on fanworks and fan-created content (such as AMVs, fanfiction, cosplay, webcomics, you name it), we're really nothing without our attendees.

We're trying to appeal to every major section of fan-creation, and I hope that many of you will come and take place in our Hall Cosplay Contest as well as the Cosplay Chess main event. Sign-ups for the chess match aren't online yet, but when they are the forum-goers will be the first to know about it.

I'd really like to go, but...it all depends on my parents' moods. =/ Unfortunately, when I mentioned it to them, they pretty much completely blew me off (They aren't very supportive when it comes to conventions and cosplaying). Maybe, though, just maybe they'll change their minds by February. I've still got a few months. Hopefully I can get myself there.

Hey guys - minor thing since I keep seeing the word 'group' tossed around in reference to 'people who may be coming to Llamacon' - please preregister! Not only will it give us advanced funding to cover our operating costs and do cool things for you guys, but it will make our lives easier if we can have some idea of how many people are coming.

Currently the only option to pre-register is the mail-in form available on our website - you can pay for more than one person with the same check and send more than one form in an envelope, so please take the opportunity to save a bit of money and help us to run a great con!

Guys, good news! I can't name names quite yet, but Llamacon's various contests are having prizes sponsored from a few companies. This means that in addition to certificates for Hall Cosplay, you might get a DVD or manga volume, perhaps even something else...

Of course, this also means that the Cosplay Chess prizes (judges will be awarding prizes for Best Roleplay, Best Costume, etc) will be kicked up a notch as well. Stay tuned!

im going definatly ^-^ im making a new cosplay for it (dun wanna ruin the other ab ones hehehe) i'll go as Jessica Albert from the new DQ. and one thing is the chess already full? im planning on pre-reg. after xmas and i wanna be on the cosplay chess with my costume but i wanna know if its full or not.
