Why do I bother putting my costume list in my sig when I always change my mind at the last minute? Currently doing the "I forgot the _____" dance and different costumes are in my bag right now.

Seeing some great Bone mascot costumes on the author's blog really makes me want to finish up Thorn. Maybe I'll hit Joanns for the umpteenth time for muslin while I'm in the area tomorrow.

Budget is also worrying me a bit. I'm going to be on my own for a lot of things next year, so I'll be pretty strapped for cash. Granted there are much more important things than cosplay, so we'll see how it goes. I definately will not stop cosplaying but perhaps making new costumes will be a bit slower. I am budgeting myself a monthly sum for extraneous purchases, so perhaps some of that can be set aside for cosplay. (nods)

Is it perhaps the Lucky Star costume you have listed in your signature? The costume that haunted my nightmares was my Lucky Star fuku... I did a Miyuki Takara costume last year. Perhaps that costume is merely cursed.

On my mind right now:

It should not be so difficult to match fabric to shoes. ;___; All I ask is for a teal on the green side. But all of Joann's appropriate fabrics are too blue. I guess I'll be visiting Hancock when I'm home for break, and Hobby Lobby as well.

EDIT: My buttons are here! Now I can sew them all on. :3

*cheers*

I installed my first zipper ever and it actually worked.

One small cosplay victory at a time.

Next...Summoner Yuna! Hmm I'll probably be asking for help on the wig later, on where to buy a wig kinda like hers so I can style it! Lol. =P Hmm and I really like Lenne's earrings so I'm gonna make them, so I can' like wear them randomly when I'm in public. Until I get started on Lenne's outfit. =3

Congrats, Livengood! Nomura would be delighted.

Me, I am filled with a mellow gratification because the tricky bits of my costume are all done, and all I have to do from here on out is string pearls. I like stringing pearls. I can string pearls while watching terrible AMVs. Life is good.

Actually, I'm certain Nomura would be disappointed in the proportion of the zipper. Sadly, this is only a four inch zipper and actually HAS a functional use.

and, having read the part of PSoH that has the cave swallows. How many pearls are we actually looking at?

We are looking at 0.75 kg (1.63 lb) of 6mm pearls, and 0.5 kg (1.1 lb) of 4mm pearls, which total approximately a fucking hojillion.

I just called Nomura, and he says you need at least two non-functional zippers to counteract that one you just put on.

At the rate you're going, your pearl's will weigh more then my dog.

Oh fine fine, I'll put them on the ass. Completely non-functional ass cheek zippers.

I'm worried about my group's skit getting rejected. D: We have a mock fight scene with swords and the staff wanted a video of it. I have a feeling they're going to think it's too dangerous and we'll have to revamp our skit.

I also have to try and make a huge sword. Should be interesting.

I hate Hancock Fabric stores with a passion. I can't find anything nor navigate through it to find the right sections. And the staff makes the place feel very unwelcoming to the point I feel like I'm doing something wrong just by being there. I think I'll stick to Mrs. JoAnn, thank you very much.

Anyways, I was looking for green striped cotton to make myself a pair of hakama like what Nozomu-sensei wears. I need practice with hakama anyway, so I might as well make a Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei cosplay.

Maaan, at least you still have one. D: I miss having more than one option for my fabric shopping.

Our Hancock was pretty disorganized too though. They seemed to pretty much put all the super obvious stuff in separate areas, but everything else was lumped together. Maybe that's why they went out. 8|

*wuah* Finally. I'm done! Okay, not at all, but at least I can now start with sewing the pearls on. Still have to buy them, though.
I hope I can finish Agito in about 3 weeks *few*

Yeah... I could find the proper fabric at the Joann here in hicksville, so I'll be checking the Joann at home, as well as the Hobby Lobby and the Hancock. I never had trouble with Hancock before, though I admit their store organization sometimes confuses me. Like, 90% of their stock is quilt prints. Oh well, hopefully between my 3 options I'll be able to find a teal that is green enough to match these darn shoes.
