Just as I was about to start work on Envy, the foot pedal to the sewing machine I was fixing up burnt out, which is wonderful. It had been having problems with the bobbin, but I just got them sorted out when this new thing happened XP

I need to try to track down a replacement for a 30 year old part somehow.

Now that my dryer is cleaned after that disaster with the crayon, I can do laundry again. First thing - whites so I can cut apart those socks to use as a pattern for Marilyn Nebraska's feet coverings. What would be good to use for the underside so I'm not walking on slippery fabric?

I found another use for my Rose costume - as a slip for a larger dress.

Aw, Jo-Ann's ran out of the fabric I ordered. And it was an online only fabric too. T_T Well, I guess I could always wait until they have it back in stock (@.@), or I could just find another suitable fabric... *ponders*

i,ve decided i,m gonna make Bayman,s (from Dead Or Alive) main outfit. But theres a few garments i,m missing. The Beret, and the sleaveless jacket. I found a maroon coloured beret in frontline surplus for only £3.99. Trouble is they dont have one in my size (turns out i take a hat size 7 1/2 - 8).. I,m gonna try and ask FS to order in a size 8 maroon beret, but will they actually do it?. Otherwise i,ll have to pay £10 for one from an online supplier.

As for the sleavless waistcoat, buying a proper military one (good luck finding one thats orange!!!!!) will cost £20. Thats alot just for that. Or should i cheat and just buy a cheap black normal shirt and just cut the sleaves off?. I,ve decided, when i go to my first ever con, i,m going as Bayman.

I've started cutting out my pattern! Yay!

But, refolding big patterns is a pain in the ass, really it is.

Since the pattern is a button-up shirt, and I'm modding it to put a zipper in, I think I can get away with leaving out the interfacing piece. . .Yeah. . .

And the pattern also has a hat. XD I wanna make one, just for the sake of making it.

I've started (and mostly finished) work on my 'secret project'. I was able to modify a pattern I already had, so I didn't have to draft my own. I've changed the pattern so instead of an elastic waistband, it'll have a button fly (only because I don't have a zipper).

Also, hand sewing sucks. I mean, I'm not bad at it (my stitches actually hold when I try it on), but it takes so damn long! I wish i could use my mom's sewing machine . . . .

Oh well. But now I need to find either some grey bias tape, or some random grey fabric that I can cut into strips and use like bias tape.

I'm getting around to repairing Lulu and eventually I'll work on my other costume (the real 'work' consists of styling a simple wig and sewing a jacket), but what I really want to do, what I am absolutely OBSESSED with, is doing Sora's Space Paranoids costume from KH2.

I wouldn't wear it. Sora is not for me. However, if anyone knows somebody who wants to wear that costume and isn't too hyped about a deadline... LET ME KNOW!

Its on a collection of dresses that will be themed on the celestial objects.

i finished 2 projects tonight making me a happy kitty. And speaking of kittens. the kikumaru catsuit is now underway. LOL! i just hope i dont make a mess out of it. Im famous with NO PATTERN SEWING!
