I have no school today (yay snow!), so I'm going to work on cosplay! yay!

Still not looking forward to making those hakama for my boyfriend, though. I hope they fit him when they're done.

I love it when things do what I want them to! I spliced two patterns together to get ther right dress shape for my new Anna Williams costume, and it worked like a charm. I'm so excited about this costume now ^_^

ArsenalFierce13- I love it when splicing two patterns works well. I did the same on the dress I'm helping a friend make for a cosplay because neither pattern I had completely fit the shape I needed for the dress.

--- I really need to get back to my negelected costumes since I want to wear a few of them to Anime Detour in March and most of my main/time consuming costumes are nearly finished.

--- I need to look at my wigs and start thinking about styling them. Need to find a wig head not being used by my friend for her wigs.

--- Need to find wigs for another couple of cosplays and some dye as well.

--- I really need to go shopping for material for my Bard Stefan cosplay but have no time or money to at the moment. Rawk.

i am uber tired now.

But today I am going to start/finish the shirt and possibly try to find out how I can make my Faust VIII shirt look good.

i should post my cosplay pictures up in my gallery. where is the camera when I need it?

*note to self* Make mockups like the actual thing, instead of cutting corners, so that one will actually be able to SEE what went wrong. . .

Stupid gloves. . .

Is it bad of me to think about making a proper Santa hat for the Kon plushie instead of just sticking my hat on him? heh
I still have pants to make!!!

CRASH!!

*kitty comes running out of Miyabi's room*

Miyabi: O_o? *walks into room and gasps in horror at Chrno wighead lying on the floor along with a few other things from the desk*
"BAD KITTY!!! BAD!!!"
*goes over and picks up Chrno wighead* "There there...I'll re-style you...it'll be okay..."

dear god...I'm scaring myself.

Don't worry, Miyabi - I'd have the same reaction if one of my kitties did it.

I should work more on my wig, too, come to think of it.

Stupid Stupid ruffles from hell. I had to make 20 yards of fabric gather evenly by hand. It took five tries and two different types of thread and then I find out my skirt is too long. Thank goodness I can just take an inch or two off the top instead of moving the ruffle up and having to sew it in place all over again.

I swear when someone tells me that using stretch fabric will make things harder I will listen and save myself the thread burns.

It looks pretty and hangs right I just had no idea it would weigh so much. It makes me wonder how heavy the rest of the costume will be. I am glad I used steel boning I think the skirt would have squished the plastic stuff.

I wonder if I drop enough hints someone will buy me a corset for Christmas. I think I would cry if I tried to make one on my own. Boning hates me and goes after my eyes.

Luckily there are some inexpensive places to buy corsets (I've posted a thorough listing of links and reviews elsewhere if you search around the forums).

Sad story...I signed up for the Jo-Ann's coupons. A couple days ago I went by Jo-Ann's and bought a bunch of stuff.
Of course, today I went to clean out my spam folder and found a 40% off coupon.

Hm.
I bought some really cool clothing that I'm wearing for an Xmas party tonight. It consists of tight black cotton velvet pants (with stretch in them!), matching cotton velvet "calvary" coat with rows of fake "double-breasted" buttons down the front and a long skirt-tail part that's split up the back, fitted white cotton button-up shirt with foofy lace trimmed cuffs. With my cane and knee-high black leather boots, I look quite the dandy.
I just wish I could sew myself something like this! I'll keep working on it. Someday...yes, someday I'll actually USE THE FABRIC I already bought!
