I know, I've met some really great friends because of Hetalia, but...I have no clue whether these cosplayers are regulars at cons, or what. I'm probably being paranoid, but, I think with that plus the already-shaky image we Hetalia fans have with the general public, I just want to avoid those people for a while, until somebody finally tells them off and they tone it down.
I probably will cosplay Norway sometime in the future, though. He's not really a huge yaoi-magnet like Italy, and I'm in love with his design.

Same here. I think norway has one of the better uniform designs in hetalia. I would love to do sailor norway one day.

So by my calculations it should take something around 15 hours to sew this row of lace down. This would be less of a problem if not for a) the fact that I'm trying to finish it by Thursday (around pesky things like working and cooking and sleeping), b) cranky wrist coupled with having to do said sewing by hand, and c) also needing to fix my corset where the boning has worn through the fabric and is trying to stab me.

Why did I decide last-minute that I wanted this done for AX again? Stupid, stupid Charis!

...It's pretty sad when your best motivation is that you'll be able to be a bit better at dressing up like a princess-resembling cartoon girl. xD;; But it's effective. So, I'm not complaining.

Just...I hated the experience I had with most of the fans. This is a con, a KID-FRIENDLY con that has had 8-year olds around before, you DO NOT swear at the top of your lungs because so-and-so chracter is hugging so-and-so. You DO NOT drop your pants in the middle of the hallway and make so-and-so character do them back up because you like the pairing.
And as far as the photoshoot goes, Prussia in charge of shoot, you did NOT take anyone's age, you have no clue how old people are, so please don't tell us to 'get in front of that fxxxing wall!'.
Just....Ugh. I'm probably never cosplaying Italy again, for fear I'll meet that Germany (first two examples), and that she'll latch onto me, and then I'll get labeled as a bad fan again. I just...I don't even....dgfgjdkjf.
I may just cosplay a minor character instead. One that can't be constantly put on the spot and awkwardly go along with it. Maybe Norway. Maybe.

I'm sorry that happened to you. But honestly, don't let some bad con ruin the experience for you. I've cosplayed Hetalia at several cons, and the only one I had trouble at was Fanime (and that one is huge).

The best way to avoid that drama is to just... avoid it. Don't hang around the crazy fans, don't go to the gatherings, etc. I was Prussia and my girlfriend was France at Fanime. We'd hang with a few other friends in Hetalia cosplay. Then some crazy fans would come up and like, spaz out, and I would be stern and tell them it was NOT okay to do that, etc, and they'd usually leave me alone. Due to this, my friend got tagged at the con as "Scary Germany" but you know what? That kept the crazies away.

It sucks that happened, but you just gotta be strong. Some of the fans can get hectic, but I usually only see that at super tiny cons (full of kids) or really large cons (full of adults AND kids). And really, theres the good fans there too. But they're probably avoiding people as well xDD;;

Dude, I feel bad for Hetalia fans that know the limitations and understand what is (y'know, illegal) or inappropriate to do in public or in general. The rest of them make it verrrry easy to make very wrong generalizations about the fandom.

Selling my Sailor Moon costume...it's the first time I'm selling one of my costumes, and I'm kind of sad to see it go. But I hope someone can give it lots of love and wear <3

I am so jealous. I don't have the guts for that costume, even though I LOVE the design. I might do Rin append in the future because that one is super adorable aswell!

Yeah, it gets annoying when people say to avoid Hetalia fans cuz we're "crazy" or whatever. Uhhh. No. Crazy people are crazy. Some crazy people just happen to be Hetalia fans. Coincidence, really. I'm a Hetalia fan, I adamantly cosplay from it, draw fanart, etc. But I'm not some psycho fan like some are 8|;;

Quite honestly, I hadn't encountered ANY bad fans until Fanime. And I think thats because it was a gigantic anime con. And they were like, 14. *shrugs*
