Okay! I've pretty much finished my homework for the day, but since I have dance in half an hour or so, I guess I'll just get ahead in my medical terminology. BUT! When I get home, I get to fix this corset! Yeah!
And maybe I'll have time to hem my skirt?! Yes~ just talked it over with my dad on how to insert LED's into my helmet! Now I can finish the base before I go home for Thanksgiving, and figure out how to smooth it all down so it looks... less cardboardy and hotgluey before I bondo it.
I love making things out of cardboard. <3 |

I just watched about half of Four Days at Dragon*Con, and seeing all the amazing costumes and the cosplayers talking about their processes of making outfits has made me want to step up my game. A lot. Right now, I'm looking at resin casting tutorials as a possibility for my Jabberwocky headdress and seriously contemplating starting running/walking this week. I've not been happy with my weight and my appearance for quite some time, but I'm too lazy and hate sweating and being short of breath to go full-out for exercise. But I'll try. I've got to do something if I want to make all these costumes and have them look fantastic on me. Bah.

So I found a couple of people on DA that have cosplayed Nishiki no Mai Gakuko(*cries inside because I wanted to be the first*). Well it gave me a couple of ideas for my take on her outfit. Plus if I do well enough on it I really want to enter my first hall costume contest with it. Guess this means I'm going to be doing Gakuko after all this year. XD

Woohoo~ Film Festival tonight is showing the new FMA movie subbed so I'll be going to that...its a nice ending to midterms. lol Also will probably inspire me more to get working on that FMA cosplay I want to do... I keep changing who I want to cosplay >.>
Also, tomorrow I'll probably style my new Germany wig, cause for hexxp I just put a hat on it so I didn't style it really. I'll probably wash out my old Germany wig too and start working on styling it into Netherlands. Oh and work on my friends dresses...

My cosplay motivation was gone for a few days, but now it's back! Working on the first stages of my steampunk winged backpack and finishing up the final details of my gun and I'll be good to go by Saturday's costume party! Phew!

Oh my gosh so I think I might've found enough fabric in my fabric box! Hopefully it's enough to make the skirt at least a little poofy, though. I don't want it to be like just straight down.

Well, I made progress! I fixed my corset (it made me look like a rectangle) and just need to finish the placket, add boning, and then finish the edges. Next project is the skirt. I need to decide on the overskirt shape and stuff. And then the wings (should be easy).....and then decorating! |

I was very excited today for a couple reasons~
First of all, I figured out what I'm going to do for San's fur cloak/hood thing that won't break the mask. Secondly, someone in the Sakura-Con 2012 thread called me their favorite cosplayer and nearly made me cry from the sheer joy and unworthiness I feel of being called such. I told madre about it, and she responds: "didn't you say you'd stop cosplaying when you turn 20? Why are you adding another costume project on?" Thank, madre. :|

Its been decided!! After I make Kairi (maybe before?) I'll be making Ranka Lee's Nyan Nyan Cafe' Uniform! I'm honestly really excited since its so damn cute...but I should focus on my other cosplays first...but progress-wise I'm going to try to make Kairi's charm thing she gives to Sora tomorrow! ^^
