@pltshp-For my styled wigs I keep them in separate boxes about the size of the wig head and won't damage the style and carry them like that.

And I got some white twill from Wal-Mart for Ririchiyo. ^_^ I'm so hoping two yards will be enough.

@pltshp- hold it upside down and HAIRSPRAY, that's my best advice.

And geez, I've been working on my "do it whenever" cosplays a lot more than my actual planned ones for deadlines. At least I'm getting things done, I guess, but now I want to wear these SO BADLY, even though I already have all of these other plans for my next two cons! Graugh, brain, y u no be satisfied with plans, EVER?

@pltshp - I use a hair dryer, because I know that Arda wigs can handle the heat.

So I was going to do some research on my up-coming cosplays (Alois and Ciel from Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler) by watching the anime. When I put it on, I remembered why I didn't continue watching it before: it's boring as all hell.

I have the best friends ever.

I got a like-new dressform for free, along with a box of crinolines, random fabric, and a bunch of collar rolls.

Cosplay here I come

This so much! I hated making the wings for my Neo Queen Serenity, I hated making Mew Berry's ears. All because I had to shape wire.

*grumbles at memories of extremely sore hands*

Ugh I hate wire too. I had to wrap a bunch together to stick inside my Rin tail and my hands hurt so much. It was only 12 gauge. -_-.

^12 gauge is worse than 14 XD

Ugh but I'm almost done. I'm making new wings for my faerie costume, that'll possibly actually show this time...and I have a section and a half left.

gonna get payed soon for an art commission, and I'm wondering how much thrifting my magician costume would cost... hmm...
I already know the dance cane and top hat will add up to be around $12... but a blazer and a fancy blouse? hmm...

My haaaaaands. They huuuurt.

Three hours of shaping wire and failing miserably to cut it and I'm finally done! Next step: iron the fabric. And while I'm at it I might as well steam my skirt since it's all wrinkled because I didn't hang it up after my reservoir photoshoot.

I don't think I've ever been so envious of a person before.

Hnnghgnngnghhnn !! Tomorrow Me and my mom are going to look for sewing machines. *__*

I was promised one as a birthday present. My birthday is in August so it was a while ago but I haven't bother to look for one since I don't really have a place to put it. (complicated apartment stuff) And also it is a con dry period over here atm. But now the next con I plan to attend is approaching. Even if there's almost 4 months left, but I don't want to feel rushed! So um yes, feeling excited! Also my siblings got expensive gifts that year so I've been promised a good one which will last, not those cheap machines that brake easily or only are good for light fabrics. You never know what kind of fabric cosplay might bring you! xD

Chances are, a real katana won't be allowed at a convention. I'd go for the fake one. No point in bringing a prop that you're not even going to be able to get in with.
