XDD I am seriously glad i am not the only one who has this happen.

Hmmm my term is probably way off, but i hope it sparks an idea or the technical term. Have you thought of using some sort of pulley system?

My design for Fluttershy suddenly turned from a one-piece dress to a two-piece top/skirt. So my progress reverts back to 0. :/ At least it will be a bit easier. I'm glad I haven't bought shoes yet, because anything I've looked at probably wont match it now.

Also, I wanna work on Kyouka but I have no fabric. Finding the right shade of purple in a wig is harder than I thought. Nothing is perfect!

Worked with my paper mache shoulder pads some more tonight. They don't seem to be the shape I was imagining at all.

My friend cosplaying Stocking with me is nuts, though. She has, like, four costume changes planned for Saturday at Sakura-Con. I'm just hoping for two, at the most. xD
How do you do it? o: My time management will never be that good. Also, I hate taking time during a convention to leave the actual convention space to do things. It feels like I'm wasting time, even if it's for something like eating dinner.

It also takes about half an hour minimum to completely change into any of my outfits. Because of either something complicated that I have to wear or the sheer number of tiny accessories that I have to put on and adjust.

Sure, that sounds fun. c: And oh gosh I know a friend of a friend who wants to make every single one of Sakura's outfits from the Cardcaptor series. x'D She's already made two or three, I think.
I usually opt to change costumes if the costume in question is really physically taxing. My Daishi armor was held up by a very poorly thought out harness and I can't wear it for more than a couple hours, and even that is pushing it. And Haunted... Is just so big and unwieldy that I get tired of constantly making sure it doesn't bash someone in the eye or the shin. If I've got a comfy costume on, I'll probably keep it on the entire day.

My friend is excited to meet you. xD Cardcaptors and Vocaloid are two of her favorite things.

Ah, that makes sense. Miku has so many accessories that can be surprisingly difficult to balance, so I usually prefer to wear her on a slightly shorter con day like Friday, so I get where you're coming from.

Yay! xD I'm sure that we'll get along quite well, haha.

Oh snap, I have a package! Must be something for my Tintin cosplay!

Trying to find a copy of Dengeki Layers vol.3
It's proving nigh-impossible.

Aso getting a headache trying to figure out patterns... I think I'm working on too much at once, really...

Okay... Re-watched all the non-filler episodes of Medabots over the past couple of weeks... I will someday have to make Cyandog, not just because he's a pretty sweet looking robot, but he also "took a level in badass" and kept going through the 'function ceased' point of a battle. He even has a "heavy metal" costume variant =D

Sometimes the simplest looking of costumes is actually the most time-consuming to put on because of all the little accessories. *nod*

I am envious of all you people receiving packages right now. My boyfriend walked in with two packages and neither of them were for me. D:

In other news, I am trying to research how to make a very specific flourless chocolate cake for my friend and I's favorite Artist Alley artists. At Aki-Con last year we showed up at their table with surprise Stranger Danger Molten Lava Peach Pies (AKA the little microwavable ones by Banquet), but one of the girls turned out to be gluten intolerant and couldn't eat it. D: So now I need to make a cake with no flour/anything gluten, a butter substitute, and no sugar. Hmmm...

I try to plan my costumes with similar makeup on the same days, so I'm not starting completely from scratch every time. I learned that the hard way last year, switching from Sheryl to Yoko to Sheryl to Miku in one day. "otz
I don't feel as guilty about leaving the con space to change costumes because my hotel is just around the corner, so it's less travel time. :P
I know what you mean about accessories. San is probably going to be my most time-consuming costume to put on, because of the face paint, contacts, the jewelry, etc.

Speaking of, my fur samples shipped out today, and I should see them sometime next week!

Gluten-free foods can be quite an experiment to make, lol. There's some pretty good gluten-free muffins by Udi (IIRC). I wish you luck!

This is kinda random, but I just found out that the con I'm planning on going to is later than I expected- which means I'll have my braces off by then, meaning I can keep my mouth open for pictures of my cosplay! Yay!

Indeed, even the simple things can serve to be a real pain in the ass. xD;

Aw. D: I hate when that happens to me at home. Somehow it's always when I'm expecting mail; I see a package in front of the door and get all excited only to find that it's not for me. xD;

Yay, both the polo AND the sweater for Tintin arrived! The polo will need to be washed though, since there's some weird ink stain on the inside. I'm kinda bummed though, the polo is way smaller than expected. It looks like it's still wearable; and it seems like it'd fit for the most part (haven't been able to try it all on together yet) but it's kind of... short. Like it'll fit everywhere but it's too short to cover my stomach. Upon closer re-inspection of the ebay ad, it seems as though the shirt's in boys' sizes and not mens'. Herp derp! I'll have to try it on and see how it works out; it'll be hidden under a sweater anyway.

And speaking of the sweater, holy eff it's huge for something that's supposed to be a size small! I think I can make it work, though. After all that effort to find a sweater the right style and color, I will make it work.

Managed to actually Get Things Done last night! Granted, it was just pulling all the boning out of my new corset, stitching the bottom edge, and making and machine-sewing the bias binding for that edge, but I'll take it. Means I have handsewing for work again -- and I managed to find both the last of Kaya's lace and some leftover velveteen that should work for Therese's belt while hunting for sateen scraps, so bonus!

Next up, buy some new plasti-dipt and cut down the boning to the length it actually should be before tipping everything.

Trying to decide if the pants on one of my comissions are simply creased along the back of each leg or pleated--my instinct says because the costume is based on a military dress uniform, they're more likely to be pleated but ugh, pleats are a hassle in pants.

Think I need to rewatch a few more episodes to get a better idea of what I'm looking at.
