Oh no I keep cosplaying from everyone in my house so ordering things can be a pain. I generally write off the things I get as other objects but I was crunched for time and it says that 3 things for my Link cosplay are "out for delivery" today oh geez this will be interesting haha

I'm certainly excited about the C2E2 wing struct to be debuted since there was an unexpected effect with the modification of the lower arm that makes it look even more dramatic. Oh, they're in for a show!
Oh my, this sure does sound awesome. I'm getting excited to possibly run into you at C2E2!

I wish I could go to C2E2! I went last year, and it was a blast. Too bad my sister doesn't live in Chicago any more.

I'm debating on if I want to make Beatrice's full gown for a fall con and if I can even do it. I have a pattern that fits the top perfectly minus the extra poofs in the sleeves. It's that over skirt that's going to be a pain. I had actually contemplated doing an extremely formal version and hand sewing golden beads on the skirt to make the patter but I would die lol.

That would be a wonderful costume! I love Beatrice's dress!

I know, it's so pretty! The amount of underskirts I would need are insane though and if I did do the beading it would take me from now til the morning of said con most likely.

My hand hurts. I just twisted the 12 gauge wire together for the Gatomon tail I'm making. And surprisingly Micheals did not have an orange shirt. This is the third store that I went too that didn't have it which means I might have to order it online after all. >_>. Well I did get a free bottle of modge podge out of it and picked up some earring studs so it isn't all bad.
I think now I will spend the rest of the afternoon playing Tales of Graces to help my hand recover. XD

Fabric cut for ruffles? Check.
Stitched together in a piece that's just under 17 metres? Double Check.
Stitch set to 10mm and tension to 8.0? Triple Check.
"Sexy and I know it" freshly loaded onto iTouch, so terrible dancing can occur while babysitting the overcasting stitch portion of the day? OH BBY!

Finish all the edges!
All the edges?
ALL the edges!

I found the most absolutely perfect dress for Celia from The Night Circus at JCPenny yesterday, but sadly it was out of my price range.

... Then my Grandma offered to buy it for me.

Oh my God, I feel like a princess! Or in this case, a magician. Now I've just gotta find some shoes, a ring, and get my wig, and my cosplay from my favorite book is done!

I will NOT watch the featurette on these Zorro DVDs about the costumes worn during the show. I will RESIST the temptation to watch them and incorporate elements from the outfits into my own costumes. I REFUSE!!!!

.....

-hits play and watches anyway- Dammit!

Edit: It's almost 6PM and I feel like I haven't done a damn thing. Guess I'll try on my dress and see how bad the lapels are. Not that I can fix them until after I make my hat, which I can't do til I go back to the store for felt and bias tape, which I don't want to do today because I'm lazy. Bah.

Well, the bag's ALMOST done. Took me three hours, but I got the majority of it sewn up, and atually did a flat hemp braid for the drawstring cords. Now I just have to sew them into the drawstring channels. Looks like that'll be handstitching...
