So I got my Ririchiyo wig the other day and while it's pretty much perfect..it's a tangle monster. Now it isn't actually detangling it that's making me consider postponing the costume. It's the fact that EVERY TIME when I am almost done detangling it, whatever is supporting it to stay where I can detangle it (since the back weighs it down a lot) gives out, the wig falls on me, and any work I had done is erased and essentially doubled since it tangles A TON when it falls.
What setups do you guys use to prevent this? ;.; Because what I have to do since I have nowhere it could hang up is put it on something like a desk and just use something to weigh down the front of the wig head it's on. I know I could check it every now and then and adjust it, but it still does it.
Also, since I'm in love with her design, I'd love to do Rikka from Chunibyo if I do postpone Ririchiyo..it's seeming more like the logical thing to do since I don't know anyone else in the area that's cosplaying Inu x Boku soon. OTL I just don't know what to do since I love Ririchiyo's character so much. I'm considering trying it on to see if tangling is REALLY OBVIOUS and if not, just brush out what I can and leaving it tangled in places until I come up with a better solution.
It's time for my pre-holiday stressing, guys.

I pin (think those pins used for sewing) my wigs to my wighead and stick my wig head on my chair (it has a rod that fits the hole perfectly so its stays on there)

Anyways, I worked on my Dino wig today!~ In between coats I was trying to fix my Ginoza jacket because the paint leaked... its kinda working? O.o Also last night I got some more wig stuff from Arda for Seymour.

Making an exercise routine. I'm a bit chubby around the around my waist/side/stomach area and I need to lose the weight by June. I need to get to a point where I'm comfortable flaunting that area for a cosplay.
Then again I might be making a bigger deal out of nothing, I haven't actually thrifted for the outfit yet so I don't even know if my chub would show anyway.
Oh well, I need to lose it anyway, nothing motivates me more than cosplay!

It's been over two weeks why is my package still in 'pre-shipment info'!?!

Also, hoping my suiting fabric comes in tomorrow. I can't do anything with it tomorrow (because its my 21th birthday tomorrow and thus will probably spend it drunk) but I want my fabric already. T_T

Went to a first year con this past weekend, and had a great time! There was a cosplay contest, and while the judges were deciding on a winner, they allowed me and some friends to Gangnam Style on stage. I had asked them earlier about it, and they were totally cool with it ^.^ I'm sooooo proud of how in sync me and my friends were. Probably my most memorable convention moment from my 5 years of going to cons!

Does anyone else ever lose motivation for their work if things aren't going well for them in their personal or social life?

I've had so many people who are supposed to be my friends in and around the hobby just act very inconsiderate and for someone with clinical anxiety, sometimes it's very overwhelming.

Doing a headcount starting from 2010 and going up til today, I've had 2 people deliberately drop me from groups and replace me, 1 photographer whom I trusted turn into a sour and bitchy bully, another photographer choose to ignore and overlook me entirely while doing photos of the rest of the group I was with (all of whom noticed but didn't do or say anything about it til much later after the fact), 1 person act like a sociopath towards me and deliberately isolate and exclude me while trying to get closer to my boyfriend, a supposedly very close friend write off the entire hobby as 'drama-mongers' (despite being a huge one herself) and stop talking to me, and now as of last night, I've had another very close friend act like she wanted me to come to a con, and then backpedal on the invitation when she found other people to room with.

At this point, I don't differentiate between intentional and unintentional when people screw me over. It's still someone screwing me over, and if they're going to be inconsiderate, I don't see why I should have to be.

It's just... getting too be too much for me at once and I'm tired and frustrated and now, I'm having a hard time finding motivation for my projects.
