Mikayla and I have this terrible habit of putting things off until the last minute... Last January when we cosplayed Princess Tutu and Kraehe we were finishing the beading in the bathroom two hours before craftsmanship judging. This year, we're getting all her Pinkie Pie stuff and all my Marceline stuff done last minute. Starting off the New Year with procrastination...

And Kellie, I simply cannot wait to see your guys' cosplays this weekend!

I just decided to do a Ratohnhaké:ton/Pre-Assassin Connor cosplay and a cosplay of an OC of mine. >3< While they added to my already big load, I'm pretty excited about them. Since Ratohnhaké:ton will be the first cosplay I will actually make by myself. And I'm excited to do some photoshoots with my OC cosplay.

I'm so sad, my absolute favorite photographer just announced that he's retiring from photography T_T So I don't have a photographer anymore ... and this year is the year I'm going all out on my cosplays ... I'm gonna have fun trying to find another one that is as good =/

Me too, haha. I have to do a final fitting on my brother for Seimei's pain in the ass shirt when we get settled down. But we're checking into the hotel on Thursday so I should have time.

Good luck on your cosplays! And text me this weekend!

Finished black Mokona!!! It's a little halfassed but otherwise everyone thinks it's cute. Now to practice makeup when I get to California...just have to finish packing

@Touchmon: your Morgiana cosplay looks fantastic! You look just like her, too!

Your Mokona IS super cute!! :3

And yeah. Beyond lazyface tonight. Watched like a million episodes of Law and Order and ate ice cream. Bluhhhhhh. I'll be up bright and early though to get everything packed, since I'm in charge of everything for the group.

Trying to work out how to make Jack Frost's staff so that it comes apart in the middle and looks like it's been snapped. So far I'm thinking PVC pipes with a foam covered dowel in the middle to keep it together and just cut the PVC so it looks all jagged and stuff. Bluh, why must I make this complicated *flies into the sun*

I should be sleeping, but ahg, I can't help but look up reference pictures for cosplay. And now I'm starting to feel overwhelmed over this task I've chosen since I'm having trouble finding good pictures to work with.
But! It'll be the first one I'll be making all by myself >3< After the initial 'amg excited over cosplay must be all lawkrjgntdm over it!' wears off, I'll be able to actually get some sleep over it. With the bad cosplay nerves, comes the good, and leaves cosplayers with a stomach full of angry butterflies and brings many sleepless nights.

Aww thank you. ^_^

Plan for today-Finish Pascal's pouches. Or get everything done but the little gem things on it. As well as think of a backup plan on how to make the bigger orbs on her belt bags. My original plan, use Christmas ornaments is not going to work. >_<

As a Christmas present I got a promise of my own sewing machine. I didn't know they are that effing expensive, but I'm happy. I've been using mum's machine 'till now and it's all good, but mum thought I need my own one, since I start to be old enough to move out and it would be difficult to shuttle mum's one back and forth. And also when I have the sewing machine in my room, I can sew almost whenever I want!

Just don't buy the cheapo $200-or-less things from Walmart and the like. Shell out for a better model than they usually carry (for a first machine I suggest a vintage one, actually- they're usually very sturdy, easy to learn on and can be found cheap). Certainly avoid cheap Singers like the plague. Brother machines aren't bad, but they're really only good for learning on or light sewing.
