So the dog plushie pattern I ordered came in today. Completely useless now since the one I found for free online works so much better. I wish those swatches would get here soon so I can order fur and get started.

And I still can't find a pair of simple white ankle boots that don't have a huge heel and doesn't cost over $30.

So I just spent the last two days handsewing my patchwork coat because my sewing machine decided to die. BUT IT'S SO AWESOME. All I have left is the hood. =]

For the first time ever, the cosplay shoe gods are on my side. Wedge boots for Agent Hill (something I'm not even starting 'til May-June) found for $25, and skater shoes for Tony Stark for $15. Now to find risers...

Momocon was..decent I suppose.

Rethinking my cosplay choices because of it, but hey..what'll you do. I wish I had gotten more people's numbers, but, too late now. I got my first creepy fangirl today...and I got an emergency contact for if any creepy fangirls try to stalk me at least. XD (A girl who has a TON of creepy fangirls since she's really good at crossplay)

I might post a more in-depth review of what happened here, but right now I'll just say..

Brina Palencia is the best at ad-libbing lines for Ciel just based on a little prompt and gives some of the comfiest hugs.

Found the perfect belt to use for River at Walmart for like six bucks. Walmart's quality is usually pretty bad, but I'm lucky the belt needs to just sit on my hips, so it won't need to take any wear and tear. Pleased with my find.

The fabric for my waist belt and belt pouches are on their way, along with the studs for the waist belt. I really should mod a nerf gun to use as a prop, but...that comes last. need to think about my dress. It just feels good that everything I need is on its way. Time to get to work.

I really thing these boots would work with Heroine so well. The thing is...that's a 3 inch heel. And it's taller than Heroine's boots are supposed to be but it looks like it would work SO WELL. T_T However, other than the fact that they are taller...I don't know if I can wear 3 inch heels. I usually wear wedges so I don't know if my feet can handle it.

Last night I officially styled my first wig. Ironically, it wasn't mine at all, but it was for a friend, for 2p America. She wanted me to style it because she literally did not know what to do AT ALL. I was seriously worried, because I've never styled a wig before, and I TOTALLY ROCKED THAT SHIT. I had to cut layers into it, make the "Nantucket", spike out the sides a bit and thin the under layers. AND IT LOOKS AMAZING. I'm really proud of myself and the aspect of my Robin wig doesn't seem quite so terrifying anymore.

I really need to cut my Ciel wig, it's ridiculously shaggy.
But I'm scared to. I need to get a different wig to practice on first e.e
I also still need to go sometime soon and look for an undershirt, gloves, and ribbon for Ciel before he arrives.

I've also noticed that I like Kuroshitsuji meetups and meeting other cosplayers from the series. I do. But I despise planned photoshoots for the series for two reasons.
1) I get lost in the sea of Ciels and get left out of half the shots for not having a cosplay partner or being close friends with any of the other cosplayers involved.
2) Everyone and their mother only wants fanservice and funny shots together when I'd like to take some serious ones.
Every Kuro photoshoot I've been to other than the very tightly knit one at AAD, I've despised for these reasons.
But I still need to go to them because if I'm going to get into the fandom, I need to know the people in the fandom here. I think I might stick to picture-taking and photoshoots to smaller cons and just try to hang out on the most crowded days and meet people at larger cons. That seems like it would save me stress.

Well...as expected...I am so physically and emotionally exhausted after Momocon that.....it's enough to make me seriously consider not going back.

I appreciate everyone's kind words and being able to make people happy but....I'm....next to done with cosplay groups. I learned quite a bit this weekend....and...most of it was not positive. While I did enjoy some aspects...there were too many that I did not enjoy in the slightest. I've never actually regretted going to a convention before...but this time I'm regretting many of the choices that I made.

I know this could have been a great experience, but...I must say...it really wasn't.

Pretty much. After it's over, you generally get a story to laugh about with friends. During, it's varying shades of annoyance, frustration, and distaste - anxiety/fear if you get a truly off-balanced individual.
