would anyone re-arrange their cosplay plans because of relevance? There's two costumes I'm contemplating on making and deciding which to make first, League of Legends Angel Champion because it has significant relevance with a huge gaming populace and then there is Saint Seiya Pegasus God Cloth which is very obscure relevance since they've released the figurine celebrating the anniversary.

I always get really nervous about talking to my PiC about cosplay plans and the potential of adding new ones to our list. I know the worse she can say is no, but it still makes me nervous.

On an unrelated note, it really irritates me when I'm trying to express my concern over a cosplay to some friends and they just make me feel like I'm a whiny idiot. I talked to a couple people over my Riku concerns and all they had to say was 'Use a see through fabric' and 'Cosplayer know that we won't always be able to see and that we must sacrifice that for a cosplay sometimes.' That I need to get over myself and bring him to the con because they 'really want me to'.
That doesn't help guys. I have a large chance of going blind early in life and my vision already isn't very great as it is. I am literally incapable of doing this cosplay if I can't get the funds for new contacts. There is a difference between slightly meshy vision and being so visually impaired that it poses a danger to both you and everyone around you.
Honestly, with all the trouble I'm having with figuring sight into this cosplay and the snooty reactions I got from the people who just want me to cosplay him, I'm most likely going to drop him. Cosplay is supposed to be about fun, not about how much someone else wants me to do something. Once I become uncomfortable, it's time to drop it...

You know what's going to be FUN......making that huge, poofy, fluffy, monstrosity of a petticoat for my Kuranosuke cosplay! Reminds me of Madoka's petticoat! O___O

Sac-Anime starts in THREE DAYS! My PiC has now made my skirt and jacket for Yang; still waiting on the damn wig. Good news is, she said if it doesn't come in time I can use her Fionna wig since she isn't doing Fionna until Sunday. Thank God. I'm expecting the wig within the next few days though, so HOPEFULLY it'll get here Friday at the latest.

I can already feel my buzz for cosplay love starting to wane again, but I'm praying it's just because I haven't been able to work on anything for a while. The first week of school is incredibly hectic for me (audition week, oh yeah) so I haven't even moved my sewing machine from the shelf it was thrown on. I have all that pretty fabric for Luna and nothing to show for it.... Of course, now that I'm at school, my nearest fabric store is like 20 minutes away. So I can't just go look at things anymore. >.<

In other news, I think I found something to make the Moon out of for my Majora's Mask cosplay! I'm really excited for this design, even if I might be overcomplicating it. But I left some of my fabric stores I was planning to reuse at home, so maybe I can get my folks to bring those up during family weekend....

Just as I was getting the hang of carving Echidna's sword out of expanding foam last night, I got distracted and lacerated the top of my left index finger and I had to sit in the ER all night and get stitches. Otherwise the carving process is going smoothly now and I'm half done with it. Sometimes you've just gotta keep going.

Alright, I've been going back and forth since Wednesday about whether or not I want to cosplay Magnus Bane from the Mortal Instruments books. I've had times where I was really excited to, and times where it's keeping me up at night thinking what a stupid idea that is, because I'm technically too short and too pale and he's supposed to be part Asian. A couple of my friends gave me a pep talk though and reminded me that cosplay is about fun and love of a character, and my mom (who's reading the book now) even agreed to help me with my eyeliner, so I think I'm gonna go for it and cosplay him.

Time to buy a frak-ton of glitter.

Okay so....after fixing whatever was wrong with my computer I can access cosplay.com again.

And I actually did something myself for a cosplay for once.

And all I can think whenever I hear glitter is "NOOOOOO stage herpes!". Because the stuff never. Goes. Away. Bane of the techie's existence. >_>

I want to bead something. More accurately: I want to do something bead-embroidered for cosplay but I have no idea what, because it doesn't fit the only embroidery project I'm working on currently and I can't start Sisi yet and alkasdnflkndf. Someone either smack my wrist hard and tell me not to be stupid or give me an idea plz.
