I ordered a Fate Testarossa outfit from them and it was a complete and utter disaster >__<; A bunch of my other buddies who ordered from them all received really good outfits from them (but from more mainstream anime such as Kuroshitsuji & Final Fantasy and, as this might apply to you MezzyChuu, Code Geass). However my experience with them was a complete and utter roller coaster ride that ended with my complete loss of faith in them, a sad wallet, and an outfit I am currently trying my hardest to fix up with my sad-as-heck sewing abilities and an even sadder wallet to buy spare parts and fabric :<

I worked with them a few years ago and really enjoyed their work, however I looked on their website and their two most recent updates are from 7/31/2010, and then from 2/2/2011. The most recent one is sort of strange though... look here.

Has anyone done business with them recently or know if anything is up?

im just wondering what makes a good site, i see sites with the same pic for the costume and just a pic of the character not the costume.

the reason is i just want to get a costume for a good price, i buy the costumes i cant make.

So unless you live elsewhere, the shipping is free to my understanding.

I know this is the review section but I really could use some help.

I've been out looking for a commissioning site that could make a good cosplay of Maka's Spartoi costume from the manga, Soul Eater. I heard about limebarb.com and liked some of the stuff they did but when I went and got a quote from them, the costume alone cost about $400 dollars.

So I was wondering 2 things. A. Is Limebarb a good site to commission from? and B. If not, where could I go to get it really well made?

In that case, I can't really offer many suggestions as I'm pretty new to the Cosplaying scene and only have two outfits that have been commissioned: one of which was a disastrous commission -facepalm-. I'm thinking of purchasing something from Cosplaymagic in the near future, so here's the fingers crossed that all the reviews I have heard about them rings true :>

Do not buy from them they half a%$ there stuff any more. And will change you a arm and a leg to do the work. i would buy from God save the queen there cosplaying outfits is one of the best.

I've heard qqcosplay does a great job, I'm going to buy from them in the next month or so.

Well, here's an update if anyone's curious XD

I went ahead and contacted Aije, he replied saying yes they are, they just have less staff now then they used to. They pointed me in the direction of cosplay1's blog which has been updated with new stuff more often and recently.
