Though my grandmother is going out later this week so I may do it then.
I bought this Clinque eye makeup remover its not grease and it removes stuff like that like a dream. It's kinda pricey but you don't need to use much for it to work so it can last for years. Link

Does it look like this? Because if it does it's a wig cap. Just a net one. ^^

Peeve: Wanting go fabric shopping and material shopping and yet your check has yet to arrive.

*cries* I have about 2-4 weeks of payment i'm still waiting for because of a mixup with my job and payment account. Apparently instead of being deposited on the debit card we recieve, they will be mailed. I've been wanting to go buy the remainder of fabric for the POTC, my gijinka, and now thinking about fabric for Scheherazade. Sadly i can't do that until my check arrive, whenever that will. ( ; ^; ) I'm sad.

Something that's really been bugging me a lot here lately is when you have "friends" that say they support your cosplaying hobby, then ridicule you about it behind your back and to your face. Then when you confront them, they say "Dude, chill. We're just joking with you. Dress up as whatever faggoty character you want..."

Seriously? And these are my FRIENDS. I hate to hear what my enemies say...

That's seriously rude and uncaring. To be honest if one of my friends acted this way, we'd no longer be friends. I understand people are entitled to their own opinions, but there is no need to be harsh and rude that way. Not even my family says things like that and they think it's weird. especially the "faggoty character" remark. it seems as if you're friends don't respect you and your hobby. "Friends' seems to high of ranking for them, to be honest i'd start calling them "people i know, or acquaintances". I'm sorry you have to get shot down and hurt from those you trust and care about, just know that you've got a lot friends on here and elsewhere that appreciate and enjoy your cosplay.

It's been said but whatever. Inconsistent designs. I found my Clow Cards and started to play with the idea of cosplaying Sakura. The outfit I'm leaning towards is the one in the third opening. In the opening, her shoes are white and in promotional artwork using the same outfit they're pink. If I end up doing it, I'll probably do the pink shoes because I like it better. The socks are always white and I think it looks better when socks and shoes contrast.

Naudae, with friends like those, who needs enemies? Seriously, they had better have some sterling redemptive qualities to make up for acting like that.

I've got another friend who would be great to cosplay with- he's in shape and knows some martial arts, so he would be a lot better to pose with than my other friends..but he is not into it. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to even want to be seen with me when I have my gear on, so I can't even get him to take pics of me, which he would also do a good job of.

Here's a recent one:

When someone denigrates you and your hobby, but tries to play it off as a "discussion" or "just making conversation".

Dude messaged me the other day, asking me "What is it with geeks and Japan?" I asked him what is wrong with appreciating another country and its culture. "But... why not Africa or India or even their own country? Why do geeks always want to be samurai and ninjas, etc., etc. and live in Japan."

Back and forth like this for a few messages with him getting more confrontational. Finally, I told him he was being a judgmental douche.

His final response: "Relax! I'm not anti-geek. I'm just trying to have a conversation with you."

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. You insult me, my hobby and the friends I met through this hobby and you want me to not think you're being a troll.

Note he was going on this "all geeks want to be Japanese" tear to a profile pic of me cosplaying as Sarah from Labyrinth.

^Completely agree!

Slight Peeve:

Just happened yesterday. My friend, her mother, my sister and i were in the dinning room. she was saying how she was sad that one of our friends was planning to cosplay the same character as her.

Her mom goes: well yours will better cause it's homemade. my sister asks: oh she buys hers?" Me: no she makes hers as well i believe. The mother : well it's not made by me. friend: yeah mine will be better. I tried to say that they should be happy to see more people, but got cut off by more conversation.

I wasn't exactly upset, but i thought it was a little rude to just down the other person to make someone else feel better. Why not say that both will be good and they should be happy to see more people cosplay who they love? I'll never understand why they need to feel jealous or in a competition with some just cause they cosplay the same person. I'm there to have fun, if i seem someone else as the same character as me, i'm happy.

I've put on my shoes, coat, and gotten ready to go to the fabric store two days in a row, but have then been prevented from going. X_X

I don't understand why people get defensive over other people cosplaying the same character as them. I love doppelgangers. The resulting pictures are awesome.

How my brain right now is ignoring the cosplay stuff I need to get done for this con season and is instead making me think of working on stuff for next year.

Shhh brain. I will be getting to Viola next year. Stop making me look at her design and stuff now and make me want to work on her.

And I also don't understand this possessiveness of characters. I mean, I could understand if you were doing a group cosplay with a bunch of people and you wanted all of the characters but if you aren't, then that's just stupid. -_- I also love getting pictures with people cosplaying the same thing as me. It rarely happens since I cosplay lesser known characters but when I'm Morgiana I'm going to be getting pictures with every Morgiana I see because that would be awesome.

I would love to meet doppelgangers in cosplay. It would be absolutely hilarious, especially if the characters were from series with parallel universes. I don't get the possessiveness.

Doppergangers are awesome.

Copycats are not. This one girl is getting on my nerves because she copies the characters i cosplay then complains to me about not getting enough attention. I'm like well... I pick cosplays for my bodytype and skills....not yours, so please stop copying me and do your own thing.
