Otakon Virgins. XD

Hey, just wondering how many of us are going to Otakon for the VERY first time, and how do you feel about it?

Moi, this is gonna be my first time going. I'm excited/nervous because it'll be only my 2nd time at a Con, and my first one was Shoujocon which pulls in maybe 1000 people. Maybe... I'm sure Otakon is going to be a different experience since it's so big. I can't wait to see all the costumes that promise to be amazing and to meet people if I decide not to be overly shy. That's a major flaw of mine. ^^;; But anway, who else is going for their first time?

Not me - but I am checking if my sister wants to come, and also 4 people in my anime club have expressed interest. So any of those 5 would be Otakon newbies if they come.

Just got an email back from my sister (that was fast). She is coming, so this will be the largest con she has been too. Now will have to see what costumes she decides to bring.

I'm not either but 3 people I know are. They wanted to go last year but were unable to. As for going to a big con from a small con, my first con had around 200 attend... and then we went to Otakon. It was a little overwhelming at first but we still had a great time!

*eeps* This year will be my first time at Otakon and, in fact, my first time at any anime con,. tho I have been to several Star Trek Cons.... I'm nervous... I've heard some pretty strange things about Anime con, but I'm also really excited... I can't wait to be in costume! Wheeee! And I'm going with my two best friends in the entire world... *bounces* I can't wait!

I've done Shoujocon twice and AXNY (all local) but this will be the first time at a HUUUGE con out of commuting distance.. but I'm still so excited

Caranundomiel: WOOSH! Congrats! I was a bit nervous, but more excited than anything at my first con. Being there with two of my best friends also made it 10x as great. You're gonna have a blast!

Otakon this year is before my birthday....it's the Friday after, hehehehe....so if I do go, it's like my birthday present to myself :P

Otakon is 2 months after my birthday but it's still like a present to myself!

This year'll mark my first time going to Otakon, but not to Baltimore. Hopefully it'll be as fun as the pictures from last year displayed...
