Which Spiderman costume would make a better cosplay?

Both are out there, which one translates better?

The bold Venom one :-)

Or the all-new one, appearing around this month after "The Other" story arc....

Traditional would be neat, but the symbiode variant would be badass, since no one's ever really done it.

black and white comic version? You mean the symbiode costume, which later turns Brock into Venom and creates Carnage as his offspring? That's not really his regular costume. They are both spandexy goodness. So really do whichever you like. Symbiote will get more attention but people might think you are Venom.

Personally, I would say the 2099 version, even though that's not an option...

*votes for traditional*

New option:

Thoughts?

Should I opt for this new one?

My first reaction was 'blah', since its only the movie version converted to black, no other noticeable changes.

Its difficult to make out such details with the photo. Regardless, it's not a huge leap in design asides from the color(s).

i voted red and blue...

The red and blue costume- pretty much everybody would know you were cosplaying as spiderman....true fans of marvel comics probably would appreciate a well done black and white cotume more than the traditional. I personally like the black costume, but for hollywood cinematography effects, the black costume seems to add more of a darker, deeper, portrayal of spiderman than the red and white..

Perhaps the correct choice for me will be...

Both/All of the above.

The new movie black version also is pretty sweet but it may take some time to see more photos to be able to duplicate it.

I was gonna suggest Spidey's black costume from the new poster, but Darth Takeo beat me to it. Can't go wrong with Venom!

Venom is a bit challenging due to the mouth. It would be difficult to make it without potentially coming off silly or over the top, IMO. I'm not big into the latex head pieces either..

The new S3 costume is out of the question for now, perhaps at a future time when more photos are available.

I guess so, if someone didn't know how to do it. But have a look at this from SM3: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8184935...n/photostream/ I can't tell if it's CGI or not, but with the right applications of rubber, foam and latex, Venom would make a kickass costume.
