Ah my brother is being V for I-CON25 soon. He tried to convince me to be Evey, but I'm not too hot about shaving off my head ^_^;;...

He did order the official mask from eBay (I think it was eBay, I don't remember), but he didn't like how it was a more peachy color than white, as it's supposed to be in the graphic novel. To our surprise we found something like the mask at Party City just lying around in a box ^_^;;, all he did was paint it white and it looked almost like it.

I can't wait to see the movie :3..

yeah the mask has a flesh look to it. in the film its painted that way, but like you said in the comic its a ghosty white. i was thinking of airbrushing the mask i got at comic con, and leaving the DC direct the color it is. ill post some pics when i got it done.

p.s.
on ebay i have seen the mask both colors. i dont know whats up with that.

Hmm same here O_o, maybe they just wanted both versions of the mask for fansake. Personally I think the peachier mask for the movie looks a bit more antique, but I'm used to seeing the original white one, so I can't say which I prefer...I guess they both are okay, but my bro prefers the original. Well it is his costume, so I don't really care, lol.

What kind of quality are the plastic ones up on eBay? Is the plastic all soft and thin like Halloween masks?

We, my boyfriend on I, are planning on dressing him up as V for Dragon*Con. My current plan is to make the mask using a vacuform table. I'd just like it to be really sturdy. Of course I want it to fit well too.

They are soft and thin like your average Halloween mask and are held by elastic, but the detail is still good for a free handout. They are a bit big since they're made to be one size fits all.

i filled mine with an expanding foam than shaved it to fit my face better. i also put a better strap on it. now that i did this i think i could vacumform it and sell copies to friends.

Oh, I'd really like to know how your vacuforming experiment goes if you go through with it!
