Glove studs

I'm in the process of making Yashamaru from Basilisk ~ Koga Ninpo Cho ~ and iv got a bit stuck on how to make the studs for the gloves and attach them. Iv already got some elbow length cotton gloves but iv yet to cut the fingers off (saved doing it till i figure this out; so i can do it all at once). He has four kinda diamond shaped kunckle studs on each glove.

Here's one ref i'll attach a few others too.

Has anyone seen any studs like this out there? and if so how would i go about attaching them?

Thanks in advance

There's a punk-rock shop above a tattoo parlor near my house. They have tons of spikes like that in various sizes. Those particular ones look like pyramid studs. Most of them you kind of punch the top part through the fabric and then attach a back to it to keep it on.

www.hottopic.com might have some, but they cycle through their inventory so often it's often impossible to find something they had only a few weeks ago. I don't know of any other places online, but I'm sure there's some good punk-rock stores in the UK!

somthing like this then?

I kinda ruled pyramid studs, maybe its the perspective but the studs on his gloves never looked quite square *damn him for moving so fast >_<*

I nearly left out the studs, cos they're the same colour as his hands so i thought they were just holes to begin with till i really scrutenised the pics. They dont look like metal to me either so i'm probably gonna have to give any studs i do get the once over with some paint or something.

I still have no idea how to attach them but i'm sure i can find out, thanks loads

The very last item on the page there are some flat diamond studs, if you don't want the "claw" type. What they have are two sharp little prongs on the back side. You poke them through your fabric, and then bend them inward with a pair of pliers. I like to make itty bitty holes in the fabric with a seam ripper to help ease in the prongs, and then put a drop of No-Fray around the hole. (My Princess Ai costume has something like 200+ studs in it, I'm still doing them in my sleep, lol.)

I did someting similar for cloud since he has round studs on his gloves. I bought them round and with the two little prongs on the bottom. I just stabbed them in and pinched the things in, and I put some tape on the inside so if they came undone they wouldn't 0wn me.
