Pink Contacts? (Meroko...)

I was wondering where I could find some Pink Contacts... I have natually dark brown eyes so I really need them to be solid pink or at least a pink that will show up in my eyes. ^^;

They're for a Meroko cosplay... and to me her eyes look pink, or maybe hot pink... Anyways anyone know where to get some contacts under abour 40ish dollars? I'm 14 and can't get a job so money is kinda not abundant. lol

I sound cheap... ugh. x_x

hmm.... I know I've read online that they make pink contacts but I don't think I've seen them for sale. Maybe ask your optometrist? If they are hard to find (or too expensive), perhaps you could consider a lavendar color like the watercolors one that they sell at cosplaylab.
http://www.prettyeyes.org/CustomSFX.html well Temptress here is pink... but I don't know if it would look good for Meroko and they definately aren't going to be found for under 40 if that price is any indication.
Sorry, I don't really know much about contacts so hopefully someone else can point you to pink ones.

Odd colored contacts are usually SUPER expensive. Like, $150-200 expensive. But you shouldn't worry about having the same colored eyes as the character. It's not like people won't see your costume as being incomplete without contacts. I just made a costume for a character that has funny yellow and blue eyes and I have no plans for buying contacts. So leave your eyes alone and you'll be fine. Maybe you could go with some crazy pink eyeshadow instead.

Thanks everyone! ^_^

Do you think the Lavender would work with dark brown eyes? I think I saw somewhere that they don't show up very well...
Yeah, if I can't find any contacts that would work well I just will not ware any and go with brown eyes. ^^; I don't need them any time soon, I've already almost finished my contume for my first con. =) Thanks everyone! ^__^

As far as I know, lavender contacts would NOT show up well with dark brown eyes. Unfortunately, dark brown covers most colors. Maybe the extra bright ones *not sure what they're called* would, but I'm not entirely sure.
Also.. unless you need them for sight, I wouldn't wear them. For people who don't need them, all they do is hurt your eyes. I don't remember how exactly, but I DO know it wasn't a good thing. Wearing them just the one day probably won't do anything, but I still wouldn't recommend it. Having the character's eye color match is not that important(most cosplayers don't bother), and isn't really worth hurting your eyes.

Theres other options to getting the lavender pink effect on the eyes as opposed to getting the water color contacts. try looking through Cosplaylab's theatrical and special lenses for the banshee ones. But yes, usually its not much of an investment unless you plan on wearing this costume alot or cosplaying alot of that characters outfit, but to my knowledge, Meroko only has so few or only has one distinct outfit.
