Gantz at AWA 2006

I am going to be cosplaying Kei Kurono at AWA this year, and I was wanting to see if there were going to be some other Gantz cosplayers at AWA.

If I can finish my suit in time, then I'll prolly cosplay either Sakurai or Nishi, if not, then I might go with Muroto in his "hobo hunter" outfit.

YAY!!! GANTZ!!! This is my absolute favorite series and i was planning of cosplay Kei Kurono eventually...maybe this is the perfect time. I kinda have a lot on my plate for this convention, but maybe i should just add this to the list in case.

How are you guys making your suits? Not many people have done this cosplay (i've only seen one

) That person used a body suit with bolts on it.

Since you're already doing Kei, I'll do someone else! I haven't watched the series for months (got the complete series in my room...should watch it again...) so i don't remember names. I can remember being extreamly drawn to the blue haired, creppy, hobo killer. Didn't want to really be portrayed as that, however. If i can get a blue wig, I'll so do him! Also wanted to kinda be different and add a coat to the suit to be that guy on the box cover of Volume 4. Theres so many to choose from! This costume could be complete versatile...just add different wigs and you could be different characters!

maybe i'll do Kei Kishimoto...

(just to let you know, I'm so excited about this right now!!!!)

I just got into Gantz but I love it! It reminds me of Battle Royale meets Paranoia Agent XD

Havoc: OMG! Tetsuo is pure LOVE for me! I adored him. I'm glad to see you jumped on the bandwagon (never said got to say this, but it was nice meeting you at Animazement)

I have decided on doing Kishimoto and plan to wear her Sat. morning. Hopefully I can figure out doing the suit...but i guess it will HAVE to be a bodysuit...which wouldn't really look too flattering on me i don't suppose

Well I'm almost done with the series and I'm set on doing a cosplay from it. Hopefully I can get it done by AWA. I'm going to use a body suit as well, and I've got an idea for the "plug" things. Tetsuo's hair won't be hard to do with my own ^^
What day were you all planning on wearing the Gantz cosplays? I think I'm pretty booked for Saturday but I could fit Tetsuo in on Friday or Sunday

I really don't care which day, I haven't even planned when i will be wearing my costumes yet, because it is still a little away. So we can decide as a group on what day. ^__^

I put in my sig saturday morning, but that can always be switched out with Gambit or Li. (they will probably be better costumes then this one anyway.)

Someone made the plugs out of bolts...I wonder if that will work....I'll play around with it after I buy the bodysuit later this month.

As for my gun, I can't decide which one to attempt to make! They are all so cool!!!!! I guess I'll decide that when i have my "prop-building month" (all my costumes have props for this con!!! The staff for Li is 6 feet tall and i will probably make one of the bigger guns for this costume! Then Gambit's pole...Haseo's bat things...whew...I'm gonna have so much fun at AWA! Too excited for this con!!!)

There is an older thread on the forum about gantz cosplays, I am going to find the link and place it here when I can find it and sylus has made the costume before so you can ask sylus some questions about it.

Yeah, I will probably wear my suit on Saturday, part of the day anyway. ^__^

I came up with a really funny skit if anyone's willing...It's just a thought though.

Also, I plan on making an actually Gantz to walk around with at the con! So we MUST be in costume atleast once together to get pictures. I'm basically just taking one of those $2 HUGE balls (or an exercise ball) and painting it black...and then putting a pic of one of the aliens on it and lime green writing. It'll make a great addition to photos

It's possible to make a ball sing, but you would have to do a lot, like first recored part of the anime in which gantz does sing. Convert it to something you can put inside the ball which would mean you would have to hollow it out somewhat. But the only problem is that this would be very difficult. I could record part of the anime where the gantz does sing and record that part of the anime. Then I could take the video out and convert it to an mpeg-2 then to mp3. put it on a disc, but then I would have to think of how to go from there. XD
