mmm... Alichino...
it is entirely possible that I am completely stupid... *pause* o_O.. um, yeah... cos like, yeah. i don't know anything when it comes to such topics... that stated.. @_@;;
as far as I know (see above for credibility) Alichino is only published in Japanese. so, all that i've read has just been fan done.. and just textual. which is great, and I'm glad to have it, but it'd be awesome to have the actual manga in english. soo, I was just wondering if anyone knew of some sort of fan done manga translation with the pictures and whatnot there, or if I'm stupid and it's been published in english... *shakes head* oy. |

Manga Project (above link) is scanlating it, and chapters 1-3 are up on their site. Better grab 'em quick before they delete them, or you'll have to hunt the IRC channel. ^_~ |

Aaagh! How could anyone bear to bend the spines to scan the manga for a scanlation? ;_; *hugs her precious Alichino*
...I don't let anyone borrow it except my spazzy friend - she's so bad about keeping her stuff new-looking that she took a recently-bought OST out of its bubble wrap just long enough to rip it onto her computer and make a copy, and then put it back in the bubble wrap ^^;; She's a bit scary... Thanks for the scanlation link for this, though! *clicks* |

Wow, some people know about Alichino. *claps hands* It is a very beautifully drawn manga, isn't it? I only have volume 1, though. I have translations for volumes 1 -3. I forgot what the site that hosted is, though. When I remember, I'll post it (if you want me to.)

Alichino has GOT to be one of the most beautiful manga I have ever seen. The story is deep and drowns you with in it and the art is just beyond belief. It's seriously a must for those who love dark, beautiful stories and for those who have a deep, DEEP, appriciation for tha beyond gorgeous artwork in it.
::dies:: I could go on forever about it... *-* |

Alichino is indeed the most beautiful Manga I've ever seen. The artwork is detailed and consistent all throughout. It reminds me of Interview with the Vampire, story-wise. Kaori Yuki [Edit: Kouyu Shurei] is my favourite mangaka, I have seen some of her other works, but they are even more obsucre than Alichino. I'm planning to cosplay Ryouko pretty soon as I could not resist the way the outfits were designed. As I have mentioned before from another thread, it's a stunning eclectic mix of period costumes.

Yuki Kaori is my favorite mangaka too, Ghost! I'm done with Tenshi Kinryouku, and I'm on God Child now. (Currently read through volumes 1-5, plus the recent chapters in Hana to Yume.) Have you read God Child yet? It's crazy.
What I still don't get is that some people say Yuki Kaori and Shurei Kouyu's art looks the same. It does not! Both of their styles are very unique. But yes, Shurei-sensei's artwork is fabulous. I wonder if there are only 3 volumes. Since Eyes magazine got cancelled about a year ago, her artwork hasn't been out since. Hmmmm, I wonder if she's still drawing. |

Speaking of pending volumes...what the heck happened to Yami No Matsuei? Matsushita-sensei has drawn enough chapters in Hana to Yume to make YnM volumes 12 and 13. And even enough for 14. I wonder if those are pending too. (They must be, I see no other reason why Yami No Matsuei volumes 12 hasn't come out for 2 years now.)
