Saturday Naruto Gathering FINAL Schedule
12:00 - Masquerade Check-in ends
2:00 - Naruto Gathering meets at Dealers room
- Pictures will be taken outside the dealers room
2:30 - The Gathering will move to a less crowded area and get on
with the rest of our planned events.
4:00 - The gathering will wind down/end
6:00 - Masquerade practice begins
8:00 - Masquerade

Awsome; makes me wish this was a year i worked on my plans for naruto costumes
^ ^ This is a thread for a naruto gathering thread, but i was wondering if you could (iether answer in here or pm me?) on what exactly goes on? how you start one? if anybody can? (don't know how many other bleach cosplayers 'll be there, but it might be nice to try and get together)
Any special permisions you need to get to do stuff? Or anything else you can think of that's relevent to gatherings? (my 1st cosplay; srry ; i'm too clueless -_- )

You can just create a thread. Anyone can organize a gathering and I don't think you need special permission to have one. The only thing is that sometimes there will be a sticky thread that has a list of gatherings/photoshoots at a con that you may want to post in. I don't think that the connecticon forums have one so you should be fine.

Time suggestion: um... a time that won't interfere with the masquerade or other big events.
Place suggestion: In the big foyer area outside the dealer's room, maybe? That would be the place with the most room.

Dont worry i would never plan this during a main event, i like to attend those too ya know ^_^. The only problem with the area around the dealers room is that its a main traffic area where our actions may disrupt other people. Now the Convention center is HUGE and connecticon is very small, so we have alot of places to go that wont have too many other people around to disrupt.

Ok, this is my idea. Does anyone remember the main entrance of the con center? that first floor? there was tons of space there, so i was thinking having the gathering on the big space to the side of the escalators. But the only problem with that is that the convention center has an open plan, so our voices (and possible music or loudness) will be echoing all around. What we could also do is make that our preliminary meeting place, and once we have just about everyone well go to another spot (now the plan to that center is a little confusing, but i remember there being an empty floor, it was inbetween two main floors i think, it was almost like a big balcony thing. Since i dont know the exact location (and i wont know unless i find a floorplan or i scout it out on that friday) we can just meet up at that place, and find a better place after that (which at that time i would have already found) and we can just leave a little sign or something at the meeting place to tell late comers where we are.

So, any suggestions of what we should do at the gathering other than the ones mentioned in the poll??

Well we could also put together a series of some good Naruto AMV's. I can find plenty of really good ones, and maybe we can play them somehow (like use a laptop, and hook it up to a tv or something.

We could also have a cosplay contest, like who looks most like their character, and stuff like that (we could give pocky prizes lol)

I don't know about the AMV thing but I think that the contest might be cool. yay for pockey!
