I got my hair cut yesterday. I wanted it to be kind of like Miyavi's mullet, but the hairdresser didn't really do it like how I wanted so I might get it cut again (I really want it modified).. It's partly my fault too, I was a bit scared of getting it cut like Miyavi's, so I'll go for a less.. extreme version.

I didn't really like it so I went home and started to cut some off myself but got scared so I stopped -__-.. I might get it cut again on Sunday, since I really want Miyavi's hairstyle (except modified a bit). It's just really layered now.

The reason I can't make it too weird is because it might marr my chances of becoming a prefect next year. Stupid tight school dress code.

Awwwwww...yes...it is girly but it looks very cute on you ^^''

Question iiiss...For your next hair cut do you still want to keep it long? Or do you want it fairly short or just short, period.

I am officially determined to help youuuu

Aw, thanks! I want it sort of like the attached picture, except not such a big jump from the bottom of the face to the long part. I want it so that the fringe-ish bit goes over my eye, so I'll just have to wait for it grow...

What I really want to change is the back bit, right now it's all long at the back. I want it layered at the back as well so there's quite a lot of short hair at the back, as well as the long bits.

I don't really know how to explain, haha.

lol, that really is a hard description ^^'' Sooo..well...if you want it clearly like the attached pic, all you would have to do is layer the back top of your hair shortly. It's no big deal, i've cut my hair like this as well and it turned out fine. Although when you first cut it, it'll kinda curve inward and SORT of resemble a mullet, but as it flattens out in a few weeks, you'll eventually start to love it..(IF i am describing what you want the right way ^.^') Umm...for reference pics....Miyavi has a bit too many layers to catch, and it'll be kinda hard on the stylist. Start out with a shinya hair cut and when you get home, eventually start cutting in your own layers. like...Hair-Bonsai..make sure every layer fits to your needs, if you feel you cut off too much, then quit, but if one side of your head feels too empty, then make little changes until you're confortable.

and ANOTHER thing, don't be afraid when cutting your hair ^^ Somehow, i don't know why, when it grows out, it looks very good...so even if you do mess up, take a few weeks, maybe even days, and it'll grow into what you wanted it to be.

ANDD another thing, lol. If there's any other way you can put your hair style in an easier explanation, that would help too <3 Here's some reference pics for you

Thank you so much for all your help, you really helped a lot! That's just what I wanted!

Easier explanation? Well... haha.. I don't really know exactly what I want, really.. just the general modifications I want to make, layering the back, etc.

Thank you for your help! I will post up a photo after I get it done tomorrow. That is, if my mum lets me -__-.. I think that's one of my biggest problems..

I am going to try and get my hair cut and styled like Kyos hair on the Showcase and It Withers and Withers tours. Does anyone have any pics or suggestions on how to style or cut it? I think is cut short on the sides. And it the front it starts short and gets longer in the back and it is very layered. But Im not to sure so any help would be great^^

I've been reading through this thread and everyone seems to give pretty good advice, so I thought I'd ask for suggestions too.
My hair is naturally really curly, but today I got this awesome hair straightener that I love so much. Now it doesn't take forever to get my hair straight. So I was thinking I'd get it cut since it's pretty thick and maybe layering a lot would solve that problem. I don't want it too short though because if I ever decide to be lazy and not straighten my hair I don't want it turning into poofy scary hair. D= So something that maybe goes past or to my shoulders and would still not look horrible without it being straightened. Any suggestions?
Here are some photos. Please excuse the weird looks on my face. xD
1/2 straightened. *le gasp*
