Chii Costume Help

I'm doing the Butterfly Chii costume and I need help with the giant bow and tails I know they have to be long and I dont have any idea how to do that like the bow (or wings) and the long tails. So if you know how to or have any ideas I would appreciate the help.

P.S. Someone told me to put wire in the wings (or Bow) to make them stand up. you think it would work? I kinda do

Yes, wire would most definitly help. Make sure it is light wieght though, otherwise your bow will droop. And that won't be very pretty.

You may even consider using fabric hardening glue, boning, or some kind of styrofoam to make a form for the bow.

As for the tails of the bow, you may want to make the bow you would usually make one, tie it the same way and taper of the tails. Make sure you're using a good amount of fabric though.

Actually, to make it easier, make the wings, then attach the tails behind them, then attach the whole thing to the dress. It is much easier that way, since you don't need one long piece of fabric, and you can add in whatever structure you want to the wings without having to worry about the tails.

Well you could always use pellin for the inside of the bow. If not, then go with them XP Wire should work fine. Good luck!

use stiff tulle to form the structure of the wings, then cover with the fabric you use to make a big stiff bow. eh how to explain.
