Need Help with Selene's Costume from Underworld
Hi, I'm rather new to this whole cosplay thing but after watching Underworld and Underworld: Evolutions recently I decided to attempt to make Selene's trench coat. I'm not looking to make anything else other than the trench coat. I really liked the embroidery on the coat and thought that it was quite elegant (not too many things are nowadays). It's a coat that could be worn daily while drawing minimal attention, compared to other more outlandish coats/trench coats.
My problem right now is lacking the basic diagram of her coat, like how the panels are constructed in order to achieve the flowing/billowing. Also, I am missing detailed pictures of the embroidery on her coat. I've searched the Internet looking for pictures but haven't been able to find any that are clear and detailed enough for me to draw up a pattern. I figured I would post here because someone might've actually already made a trench coat similar to Selene's. If anyone has some pictures and/or a diagram, I would very much appreciate it if you posted to help me out. Thanks. |

I don't have any shots of the trenchcoat as of the moment. But I have the DVDs. I've been looking for an excuse to watch Evolution again (haven't watched the DVD since I got it). So I can try taking some screenshots.
BTW, Kate Beckinsale rules. But maybe I just say that since she's my favorite actress.

Wow, great job Linny! I tried doing her corset, but I had to abandon it as I didn't have the necessary supplies nor skills. I am in awe. Again, great job!

Yes, Linny's is fantastic..( I've seen it in the flesh)..and it started out life as a skirt would you believe?!
For mine I made the front design out of Fimo, and just made a false front panel to put on the front of a corset I bought off Ebay... You might like to try something like that.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5.../Selene/C1.jpg
