>> << oO;;;;;;
Alright so this totally and completely has nothing what-so-ever to do with cosplay at all, but it's sort of important and a rather big project, and everyone in this thread is a JRock fan (hopefully). >>; So, I'm going to post it anyway, and if it get's shut down at least it'll be up for people to see information on, right? XD;;; Ahem.
Legend says that if you fold one thousand paper cranes, someone's wish will come true.
Regardless of that legend, if people from every corner of the world were to make their own wish, and those wishes and their names, and countries were written on each crane and sent.. how much would that mean?
Note: The band could use a little encouragement.
Why?: Following the release of the album Vulgar, and the drop out of their usual and noted Visual Kei image, Dir en grey have gotten the short end of the stick. Now, there is a difference between Foreign fandom and Japanese fandom. Most of you will remember the critism that ensued over the loss of the kei image, as well as the crowd surfing ban. Go, [JrockNYC] and his reveiws at the current time, as well as his extreme outlook, are a perfect example of how bad it was in Japan as opposed to the US and other countries.
The state of decline in Dir en grey's fanbase was rapid and vicious, fans were reported to have sent the band letters demanding that they break, reviewists wrote Kyo off as 'tone deaf'. A huge percentile of fans were lost. And lyrics like this [R to the Core-Vulgar album] were lost on the few loyal, and the ones who'd turned.
R TO THE CORE
Lyrics: Kyo Music: Dir en grey
You're the one that's stupid.
You're a pig; acting all honest
but you hide your true self.
Can't hear anything. Can't feel anything.
This is a place of contradiction.
My heart screamed out,
you make fun of me
like you make fun of my dead left ear.
I know everyone isn't like that,
but I can't accept everything.
So I still, even now scream out in a hoarse voice
to all you rotten people...
There is an answer,
so writhe in agony
and let your will to live come out.
Everyone's the same once they sin.
Almost every song on the album speaks of betrayal and is an obvious ploy at
it. Fans accused them of selling out. The fatalistic approach continues
right down to Saku. Dir en grey appealed to the foreign fans after Vulgar,
for most obvious reasons.
A recent supposed message from Kyo to the Japanese fans:
my voice is dead
my heart is dead
my emotions are dead
my heart is dead
there's no one inside me
rather than living with a smile
reality...
.... =\
Myself and my friends are working on a project, we'll be folding one
thousand paper cranes. We'll send them to Diru, to show our encouragement, and approval.
Please, anyone who wants to help, all you have to do is give the following to be written on the cranes ( e-mail at FilthyWarumono@hotmail.com ):
Name:
Country:
Wish for Diru:
Thank you for your time and please, get the word out.
I have 600 or so so far >>; ^ ^; Arigato~

I'll help.
...Is it happening again? The torment?
I've come to understand that they're a different band entirely than what they were before; but their mission remains the same, and I like both old and new Dir en Grey (sans Clever Sleazoid).
This probably should be moved to Music Chat...

I love both old and new Diru. I'm not a hardcore diru fan, I still really enjoy their music, And I think the critics should lay off a bit. After all, Diru's just makign a career out of music, It's like having someone work at McDonalds and trying to cope with customers constantly telling them how bad they are. You're bound to crack under the pressure at some point. It make sme sad, if not a little angry to hear this. I relaly think people can be too critical at the best of times these days, and it's really unfair.
I really admire you Filthy Warumono for doing this. It's a big effort, and I'm choosing to support you =)
Do you mind if I quote what you wrote in my myspace blog and alert people to this?

Thank you all very much <3<3 I actually started this a while ago and only hit six hundred before it died, and then like I remembered that I know so much more people now.
Unfortunetly yes, the torment is back. Dir en grey hasn't hit their home country in so long, and all of their original Japanese fans dropped them or something, and so they're striving to hit oversea's fans harder than they probably should. You can just see when watching them live they aren't as happy as they once were, so encouragement is nice!
Where is music chat? I'll post one there too.
Leverette: Go ahead, I posted it in my own myspace blog as well. ^ ^ We need to get the word out x_X
Miyavi-desu: Deviantart, good idea! Go ahead, as long as all the e-mails reach my account, I'm keeping track of them all.
Again, thank you all a bunch!

I hate alot of Dir en Grey's videos and lyrics...
But that's just mean, what all the fans that didn't like the new Dir en Grey said to them.
Kyo's a person, too, albeit a scary, kinda crazy one. The lyrics to R to the Core kinda made me sad now that I know what he's talking about. >.<

I don't much like their new stuff, but that's just because they're trying to hard to impress the oversea's fans, and are changing. Granted, they always change, but I'm worried this one isn't for the better. It's just.. sad, to watch them live now. When you've known them for so long, and can just tell they're sort of falling apart. But I'll always be a fan.
Kanna-chan: Yes, go ahead and post it wherever. ^ ^ I don't have a Gaiaonline account thing, so that works. Thank you!
P.S. 650!!

Alrighty, I've put it in a blog on my MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/deathly_tango
(I'll probably put out a Bulletin in the next 5 minutes notifying people of the blog)
I've also put it in my DeviantArt journal: http://azellureleverett.deviantart.com/
I might even put it in my MSNspace, yet.
I can't really think of anywhere else I can put it right now.
I wish you luck with this FilthyWarumono! I think what you're doing is really admireable =)

I love the idea! I love their old stuff, but I like their new stuff even more. Just because their looks have changed, doesn't mean that they've changed. I really hate what people's been saying about them. Saying that their new songs are to "americanized" and stuff. It's really just the way that they are.
I've also told many of my friends about this, they'll help too! ^_^

Wow, the thought of the things they told Kyo makes me wanna cry. But it makes me more angry than anything.
I became a fan right after the release of Vulgar, and have noticed the change in their music and style. Personally, (and i'm not saying this to sound like a better fan) I love all their music dearly and equally from Missa to Withering to Death. But there's a strangeness to their newer music that's more solemn than the earlier stuff and now it makes sense. Kyo's lyrics are besoming more and more self destructive and that's made me sad. I adore Kyo and the other members with all my heart and I'd hate to see something bad happen to them.
This is a great thing you're doing and I hope I speak for everyone when I say this is greatly appreciated even by the fans. I really hope this helps them out.
Expect several emails from my friends and I. I know several people that would love to join in.
EDIT: AMERICAN FANS! IN CASE ANY OF YOU DIDN'T KNOW, DIRU IS PLAYING IN THE FAMILY VALUES TOUR WITH KORN AND 8 OTHER GROUPS. FORK OVER THE $50 AND GO SUPPORT OUR BOYS!
