hello! I have been set with the task of making leon's jacket for someone, but I cannot find any reference pictures. can someone help provide me with some? thankyou very much.

Hi LadyPhoenix! I'm planning a Leon (or as I like to call him, Squeon) cosplay later in the year, so I have a couple references:

KH1 Leon

You can also use the character files in Jimminy's Journal in KH2 for a full view of Leon's costume - and you can ROTATE him too XD

One thing I have noticed, though is that in KH2 Leon's got the fur collar. The art above is a KH1 concept art, and doesn't have a fur collar on the jacket. I don't remember if he does in the KH1 game or not (it's been a while since I played it), but other than that the jacket is essentially the same. The Lion symbol is in red on the left sleeve, and there's a wing motif on the back.

Unfortunately I haven't tracked down many other references than that, but hopefully that should get you started ^^

edit: oops, found another one:

Looks like the jackets are different in the two games...so now it just depends on which one you're actually making ^^;

These were the best I could find, I could try taking screen shots of him from either KH version, and see if I can get it seeable

If you have access to either game, that's probably going to be your best bet. Just go find wherever it is that he hangs out and like...walk around him, use the view where it looks like you're looking through Sora's eyes and just...stare XD That's what I had to do with Axel before I found a whole slew of screenshots...I don't know where there are any of Squeon -- I mean Leon... ^^;

As long as you don't call yourself Squall, your costume will be fine...there's a DIFFERENCE between SQUALL and LEON, peoplez!!

ANyway, I think that Leon's KH2 jacket is the same as his KH1 jacket but with fur...

From what I've found looking at costumes of others... no one really worries too much about the logo on the back. In fact most people leave the back blank.

As others said, the only difference between KH1 and 2 is the fur on the collar in 2. The wings are actually pretty small, here's a nice reference:
