I thought I might as well get a head start on this. ^^;; I had an awesome time at the Clamp gathering at AX06 with all the cosplayers there though it was interesting with the organizers frantically trying to plan the gathering around the Clamp panel (with the time it was supposed to be at revealed at such short notice! ><). But it was such a relief at someone having a list of every single one of Clamp's series!

Optional is a Tsubasa gathering, because of that series' particular popularity and because I'll be showing up as Outo country Fai again next year. ^^ But revamped and better than ever. Any takers on creating the Cat's Eye Cafe?

Hello all! It's looking more and more likely I will attend Anime Expo
for the first time, being Canadian and all I can hardly wait!! I will
definitely bring my Chii costume with me to this event, I'd like to
do other cosplays but Chii has been my favorite and only one I've
done so far. Does anyone know if CLAMP will come back next year?
I hope so, I will get something for them to sign if they do and I do
hope voice actor Vic Mignogna returns. But anyway back on topic
are you guys thinking of cosplaying together or be in one big picture
to take together? Either way hope to say hi or run into people from here.

And it wasn't that easy to get an autograph from them.
Only 5 people in the whole convention got their autograph. During the CLAMP pannel they held a kind of raffle thing, and the winners got an autograph.
(I wanted one so baddlyy. ;_

That's such a shame. Thank you for informing me. I wil keep my
fingers cross just the same, hmm a raffle sounds sort of difficult &
not a good idea, as I'm sure some CLAMP fans were disappointed
not to hear their name called. That's awesome that you have gone
here on several occasions, any chance you want to hang out with
some of my friends and me? Since we don't know nothing and it sure
wouldn't hurt to have someone tell or guide us to cheap food or a hotel.

Well, I've only gone twice, but if you'd like to have a little kid show you around, I'm here. D: (I'll be 14 by AX07~ *_*)

Cheapfood would be Carls Jr. (All the Expo food is expensive. @_@) Or any thing like that.
I could show you around to where the artist alley is and the shops and all, but I'm not so good with events. ^_^;

December. ^_~ That would be great if you knew all the places to
go or show me and my friends. Also, finding the best deal inside a
dealer's room would be awesome. I will keep you posted with more

XD I wasn't too late~

Most of the stuff you can buy is extremely cheaper than before by the last day, but if there's something you really want to get your hands on, and you think wont be there by then, then you can buy it the first day or so. :0

Also, in my opinion, the little things other people do are way more fun than events and all. (The CLAMP pannel wasn't even that great. D: 4 hous in line, then just hearing japanese women telling us that they like to draw, some clips from the Tsubasa Reservoir anime, and then the dissapointment of not getting an autograph. ;_; ) :] at the expo there were some Naruto cosplayers doing Limbo, and that was so much fun~ I gave out free pocky to anyone who could make it. :3

Also, I'm thinking of cosplaying Kotoko, and since you'll be Chii it can be two persocoms walking around. ^_^ Hehe, I'm already getting my hopes up.

Chii's or four groups of Chii. Just be sure you bring along that
pocky. I might go as Sailor Uranus as well, I'm not sure as I'm
looking into someone who is helping me make a costume as we speak.

one guy selling 10 manga's for $5, I would have bought some from him

Ouran's new, so I don't think you would have found the manga. D: Unless you get the Jap. volumes. And, well, it's Anime Expo. D: Tons of people go just for the shopping so if you're looking for a rare thing (Like Mokona plushies. @_@ 45 dollars was the cheapest.) otherwise, it's not too bad getting it the last day. :3

northwest going for $20, hehe. I am thinking of doing 2 cosplays now
1) Eternal Sailor Uranus and 2) Chii from Chobits. It's just a hope of
mne that I can afford this con, little alone eat and get plenty of rest.

*dryly* Try shelling out $25-$35 for Mokonas *glaring at the money munching little demons on desk*. But money troubles aside... I'm so glad people found this thread! ^^ This is my first time organizing a group/gathering and I'm more than happy to pass on the reins to someone else more experienced, like the organizers of the '06 gathering, who thought to bring a list of EVERY Clamp series.

I hope we can all meet, I plan to have this large cardboard or poster
size sign made by someone walking around saying 'Viva Cosplay.Com'
and we can all meet up, or drop by and say hi and talk for awhile. It's
a lot of work, but I hope we all can do it. I know money is sort of a
issue for me for now but I should find ways to get what I need soon.
