So far so good. However how tall are you? and how long is the length of the blade-the hilt/tsuba(hand guard)? The over all length and division of the hilt and blade look a little under scale. take for example a boken ihave which is 40'' long, the hilt is 10 1/2'' long(from bottom of hilt to right below the tsuba. the tsuba is a little under 1/4'' and the blade from the top of the tsuba is 29 1/2''. So the hilt and tsuba is a little over than 1/4 of the entire boken. The boken is 4/6 of my height, being 5'7''. Basically the easiest way to figure out the perfect length is to stand up straight and measure from your belly button to the floor. Got all of this? Also if I were you I would sand curve that leads to the tip of the blade, so it looks more authetic, then re-sand that area to make the blade sharp again. I would also thicken and roudn the hilt, so that when you look down onto the bottom of the hilt, it looks almost if not like a perfect oval. The tsuba(hand guard) also seems to be a little off, here's an offical concept art of Ichigo in all his Shinigami forms, look towards the bottom of the left page to see the tsuba, hilt and chain of tensa zangetsu, and good luck. Keep updating on your progress, I'd like to know how it turns out for you!

ok my entire sword is 3' 6" so im a little over the length but thats not a big prob and i am 5' 2" MAN IM SHORT -_- my Tsuba is 1", so i think its kinda good and i re-sand the sword's tip so that there would be the curve thankyou for the tip and i trimmed a little from the guard. Saddly I cannot do anything to get over this cold except for drinking medicine and waiting for it to go already!

ill post pics probably 2morrow

The gray area inside the Manji draft I drew up on PAINT is the bottom of the hilt. Your's is close but it is missing a few details. Also I realized that the actual Tensa Zangetsu is simlar to Zangetsu in the way that it has no wood and ray skin underneath the binding of the sword but instead it's just the part of the blade that gets inserted into the wood then wrapped in ray skin, then gets bound. Also if you notice i drew up your angle and the correct angel of the blade.

The chain you have is more round that square, also i would re-try making the guard once more with a perfect square for the middle base then make the rest. Good job on the Tip though!

Yo...by lookin at your sword...the manji seems a bit off....the main problem is the gaps between the base of the guard and the manji branches...that's all other than good...good cardboard prop =)

The hilt should get skinnier towards the bottom since there is no wood or rayskin just metal under the binding.
