Fire Lily's right, a little pudge never hurt anyone! (Though she's arguably a lot thinner than me... =P ) I've been avoiding a lot of the Etna pictures I've found of me, since I look ridiculously fat in them. The ones taken during the masquerade while we were on stage are especially unflattering. D= Oh well's. I like my belly, fat or not. XD

Thanks for the congrats on the awards, I'm already pumped for our Otakon competition costumes for next year. (Mwahahah. *Eyes dart around.*)

@Miko: I was thinking about the one lady we saw at the cafe who saw you and went "OMG IT'S MID-BOSS!!!!!! =D=D=D=D!!!!" That lady really made my day. XD And I think we made hers as well.

There was a great Pleinair to and from what I understand a Disgaea shoot at some point that I missed out on. Lord Zetta was greatly displeased. If anyone on this thread got a shot of me in the Pram outfit please link it though - I got a ton of shots taken but I haven't seen one of them.

Oh wow. Undisputed best Etna ever? XD Wow. I knew my 30+ hours of hard work on that stupid baby-eating monster of a wig would pay off! Thanks a lot, you guys have no idea how much that means to me after all the work I put into Etna. ^_^

I've actually decided that if I do Skanky Etna from D2, I'll make another Etna wig. Her hair is drawn and colored differently, so I think I want to take a whack at the differently shaped and colored spiky wig of small-child eating doom. ^^

That still puts a smile on my face. Mid-Boss gets little to no cosplay love, I'm glad I made him. I'm also glad people liked him, I though I was going to look like a complete doofus. *sniff* I don't really like any of my pictures so far, I can't wait for EBK's to come up.

Do it. I am seriously considering making my own D1 Etna for fun and games. If you did D2 with a new wig I could get the rest of the parts (wings/tail/etc), borrow the D1 wig, and we can do another before and after. Plus I just like showing my belly off it seems :P

We should do it! =D We can do a skinny and chubby Etna duo. Hwahwahwa.

My newest obsession, though, is to do Flonne from the D2 manga when she dresses up as Etna to try and cheer up Laharl. XD I want that outfit soooo bad....

There's a rather lovely picture of your mid-Boss in my gallery, I believe... I think...

I'm really surprised that you're concerned about one mole. I have more moles than I can worry about (and a possible super numerated nipple) and I happen to love the little mole that's just below my bellybutton. As good as a bellybutton ring in my opinion . . . And no one complained when I cosplayed Etna, in fact everyone loved it and I had much more positive attention than I knew what to do with.

But if you really don't want your mole showing you could use concealer. The bulge would still be there, but it would be much less noticeable and probably wouldn't show in pictures.

Oh no I've hated my mole since I was 6 XD
But I'm now debating weather to spend $30 to get it burned off or just say screw it and go with a mole XP

I have moles removed regularly. Not for cosmetic reasons, but because skin specialists decide that they look funny, and therefore possibly cancerous. And I must warn you that they do scar. If you have them scraped off, they will leave a circular scar that gets smaller over the years. If you have them cut out and the area sewn up with stiches, then you will have a scar in a straight line. In any case you will not achieve perfection.

Aleze is right.

To me, unless your mole is harmful, I'd say leave it alone and save your money for a day when you might have a mole that IS harmful...

I agree with everyone that you should wait to get a mole burned off or cut off. I had one on my head that my doctor decided to remove because she said that when I go get my hair cut,the person could brush too hard, rip it off n then i'd bleed like crazy!

I have this kinda like mole but not a mole on my left cheek and nobody ever complained about it, my b/f sais it makes me look like an aristocrat Oo (beats me why!)

=3 but now, with the help if my "super mom" i'm planning an etna cosplay! she said she likes how the character looks cute n evil! she'll help me adjust everything so I won't look like a potato bag

I just got my new Etna wig today and boy was I pissed!! The hair came out orange and the pig tails are held together by rubber bands. I got ripped off. Scammed out of 65$ from a good wig maker...I have a post on the spam board for a wig commissioner who can get it done by September 10.....man I'm upset...

*Cries* I hate Etna. I don't think I ever want to touch that wig again. Nothing I do to it seems right.

Honestly, I almost feel as though I've lost the will to continue any of my Disgaea cosplays. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'll probably wear Flonne again.... but I have all of this stuff for Rozalin and I suddenly feel like I'm not going to be able to do it. That I won't look good or I won't have time. It's a very discouraging feeling but sometimes I can't help but wonder if my mind just trying to overachieve when in reality I can't meet the goals I set for myself. I miss cosplay.... ;_; Haven't done it since that less than happy experience of a con in April.
</angst>

On a lighter note, I think one of my friends is serious about being Vulcanus. It will be quite a sight.

Aw don't give up so easily! I know things like this is hard but you have to break through and see it to the end! You don't want to have spent all that money and not do nothing with your materials! Even if you don't get it in time do it anyway.

Terranell - take a break. Take a few days to relax, read, watch some anime or movies, get your mind off sewing. You can't do everything at once; that's why you're feeling overwhelmed. Trust me and take a small break from it. Once you've calmed yourself, you'll be ready to start at it again and with new ideas to boot. You might even decide to start a different costume instead and put Etna or Rozzie on the shelf for a little while until you feel up to it again.

I can't tell you how many times I wanted to quit working on my Alicia (I actually put it on hiatus for a month and a half to finish my Eirika), but I took a short break after Eirika, and then jumped back into Alicia. I actually worked faster and more efficiently after taking a few days off of working on a costume. You know you can do it ^.^

*adds to the "go, Terranell!" posts* YOU CAN DO IIIIITTT!

I got the Disgaea 2 artbook, and it has inspired me to continue work on Skanky Etna. I found out how the prinny butt pouches are supposed to open, but it confuses me. I mean, a rounded zipper? O.o I have a feeling that is NOT going to work as well as it looks.

I'm definitely going to get a new wig for S. Etna. I think it'll be a LOT easier on both Terranell and myself if we just get a red one (her hair is one color in D2, HOORAY!) and take our time on it. I want to help a lot more this time! I have some ideas for making the spikes look more like T. Clover (everyone gets initials today)'s amazingly supersexychocolatecoatedawesome one. I'm thinking making a wire frame for each pigtail, carving foam for the spikes, coating 'em and voila... hopefully.

I LOVE when Flonne cosplays as Etna! That scene cracked me up. We were joking about making that for Terranell...

Sadly, all my S. Etna stuff is at Cantarella's, and she is in Japan. So I can't work on it right now, I can just plan. I'm worried, though, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to drop nearly $100 on thigh high boots. I tried using 'latex' stockings (that weren't really latex at all!) but they're so TIGHT around my feet, getting a shoe under them is impossible. (One size fits all? Yeah right, try one size MAYBE fits ten-year-old midgets!) They also don't quite match the material used in my skirt and top. I tried making my own, but they pulled strangely on my legs, and I'm almost out of that material. I have NO idea where to order more. ::sobs:: It was a lovely gift from Terranell from one of her crazy ex-roommates...

I finally got latex polish for the gloves I purchased off of Devi, but I don't think they'll work out, afterall. They aren't getting as shiny as I hoped and a little more gray than black--and the smell makes me sick. LOL. No worries, though, I WILL find a use for them. Cause I'm cool like that.
