Gee I hope this is where this goes!

Anyway I have an anime club that I founded and am currently running, and I'm always looking for new ideas! So if any of you fellow members have any great ideas I'd love to here them!

At our anime club, we have what we call game day every several weeks where we bring in consoles and games and just play it up. We usually have DDR along with Soul Calibur 2 or 3 and Super Smash Bros, though it could pretty much be anything multi-player. It just depends on how many TVs you can put into the room.

We also once went to a Japanese resturaunt...And you can also as a group to a convention, though in the past people have just met there and hung out for a bit.

Once we made vats of ramen. XD Pretty awesome.

Yeah, we did the video game thing for our opening meeting, and we have also gone to a convention together, but we haven't had a vatt of Ramen yet! Hmmmm....

Thanks for the ideas, I appreciate it!

Depending on how many members are in your club, really. I am in an anime club, One weekend we have Anime trivia with prizes, This sunday we are Having a 8-bit NES gaming tournement w/ prizes.

Sunday we have our "social" meetings, and on wensday we have our Anime screening days (were we doing nothing but watch anime series)

Always take suggestions from members on what to do, they have some good ideas. Also, it's nice to go elsewhere than your regular meeting place. Go bowling, rollerskating, laser tag. Our anime club has meetings once a week, spend about an hour screening uncommon animes, and that's usually followed by eating and video games. Even if your members are just hanging out, they'll still have fun.

I'm looking for tips to ^^;

I'm not the leader of the club, but there was one that started recently and we'll probably need ideas for later on. I really want to try stand-up games like the 404's did. Hilarious!

I have an anime club at my school..
I really wanna join but I work on the days they have it D: Maybe I can switch that day..
Anyways, I hear they watch movies, draw, and have pizza/any types of food parties XDD It's in the multimedia lab too so they're probably on the computers a lot too. I don't think they play video games..they really should though. Then I'd for SURE join ^^;

The anime club at my school is kinda like a screct club. We aren't allowed to call it "anime club" or "manga club" because my principle says anime and manga have violent connotations to them. And we can't even call it a club because it hasnt' really been approved yet. We have a sponser and everything but we have to call it the "CF Reading group" so yeah.....if people think its a book club and come they are in for one heck of a surprise. ^^

Last year what we did most of the time was sit on the computers (its held in the media center) and watch stuff of youtube independantly....and the boys ate all the chips.....

but me and my friend want to organize it a bit better. WE want to have at every meeting one member tell the group about their favorite anime and no anime can be disscussed twice. So everyone is exposed to more stuff than naruto. We want to discuss japanese culture too. Its really going to end up being a bunch of discusions because most of the memebers don't really know anything beyond the mainstream stuff.

These are some good ideas. The club I run is pretty boring, we just sit and watch anime. Well, we've only had 2-3 meetings so far, but no one seems to want to come up with any suggestions. Videogame days and a cosplay day sounds good, though. (too bad cosplay day would likely be shot down by the principal o.o)

Wow, this is so long ago but yeah.... =w=
I'm the President of my Anime Club at my school.
And I'm currenty running low on activities I could do for each week.
There's about 20 to 30 people who come, but most of them
aren't regulars. I'm trying to make it a less "FORMAL" club and just have
everyone enjoy themselves, but they seem to stick with the
"Prez= teacher", so do what the "teacher" says. I mean, it's all good and all
that they respect the board members... but it's just too formal.
They wait on our every whim for something to do and don't really do what they
want to do ... I guess.... I'm planning on having a Winter Cosplay Ball or something
like that. But I also need more activities to do. Any suggestions would be fine.
((We've already watch, read, draw etc. anime))

I was the vice prez of the Anime Club at the university I went to. : D

We did game nights and cosplay days and on-campus photoshoots and fundraisers and the normal trips as a group to hobby stores and whatnot.

We also had Bad Anime nights (wherin people would bring one episode of an anime that was so bad that it was funny, or something related) and we sort of got together once in a while for cosplay workshop time.
