I suppose this is the right thread to say that I've already started my Shuuin costume...

*feels all pathetic for doing so without playing the game...like every other FFX-2 cosplayer* >.<;;

Oh well, I'm, as far as I can tell from this site and CosplayLab, the first Shuuin cosplayer >=D

Well, as long as you manage to complete it before anyone else pops up with their own. :P

I think my friend Stephen was one of the very very first Tidus cosplayers, if not the first I saw at least.. July 2001 o_O

You'd be a cute Shuuin, Will. :P I love his outfit. And he's hotter than Tidus.

Yeah. I kept downloading the new movies that came available.. and the one with Shuuin seemed to be spoilerific (and I know enough Japanese that I was afraid to watch anymore).. so I only watched it enough to get his name, and a jist of the situation between Ren/Tidus/Shuuin/Yuna. :O

*shrug* It's my opinion, and if you don't like it I don't care. But rushing a costume just so they can be first is lame.

Mm, Enishi, I kinda sorta agree with you. No, no, not completely, because then I'd be a hipocrit *hides the progress of her FFX-2 Yunie & Rikku costumes... and acknowledges that she cannot spell*, but I think that a person should cosplay a character that they're familiar with, because cosplaying isn't just dressing up as an anime or video game character. It's short for 'costume roleplay', as everyone knows. But that doesn't mean I'm against cosplaying a character you just heard about! That's cool too, because it gives you a new level of respect/understanding of whoever you're dressed as.

So, pretty much what I'm saying here, in my usual, long-winded way, is that, upon hearing that Oshii is going to cosplay Shuuin, I had two different reactions. One was to turn up my nose and say "Hmph, he's just doing it to be different and knows nothing about Shuuin," and the other was to do one of my trademark spaz-dances, screaming "HOT TIDUS LOOKALIKE DUDE COSPLAYER!" repeatedly, since I didn't know Shuuin was his name, either.

...unless I'm thinking of someone entirely different. In which case, jsut ignore that entire post ^-^;;;;
