YKYACW you skip lunch. Every day. Cause you need your munny for fabric that you don't technically need until May or June.

You start looking around at random people and think "OMG he could so be ________!!!!!!!"

You save everything. You might need it for a costume later!!

YKYAC when cigarette smoke smell can send you into an asthma attack but yet you can sleep with the odor of acrylic paint, Mod Podge and/or Aleene's Instant Decoupage and not have a problem. (of course this applies to crafters in general too

You pick up an issue of Shonen Jump to try and learn about more manga and as you're reading you go "Oh, I see why there's so many *insert series here* cosplayers, that's a pretty simple costume!" or "Now I get why everyone talks about glomping *insert character*, he is kind of cute!"

...*wanders off to the local hardware stores to do that so she can have something to work with for Eden*

When you get an idea for a character's accessory from reading another cosplayer's "YKYACW" post.

YKYACW whenever you open something with a hard plastic cover (like an action figure) you try to do as little damage as possible to the plastic because you just might need it for a prop.

It drives my mom crazy to see random pieces of plastic in my closet and on my dresser.

YKYACW you run into a friend you haven't seen in years and proceed to tell him all about cosplay and your projects.

YKYACW:
-Your machine dies on you and you weep, because you can't work on anything for your next con, which is several months away. (Guilty; my machine is ded, and I am very sad, because I have so much to work on!)

-"Floor? What floor? The floor of my room IS made of random fabric and threads, thank you very much!"

Oh my god, so guilty! It just happened today! But hey, he was a fan of Hellsing, so I didn't bore him to death

When someone in your class has their long hair sticking out at 90 degree angles, and all you can think of is 'what kind of gel are they using?'

When you take up dancing lessons soley for the purpose of using these skills in a skit.

When you:
1. Are contemplating the possibilities of styling your own hair like Sasuke's so you do not have to spend $40 on a wig when you should be listening to a lecture in class
2. Are aware of the fact that you should be paying attention
3. Continue to contemplate anyway

You know you're a cosplayer when...

...your friends call you by your cosplay character's name rather than your real name.

...you get glomped by a random fanboy/fangirl, even when you're out of costume

...more than half of your myspace friends are cosplayers themselves.

...when the matinace man goes "WOW! that's an awesome costume! is it for Abel Nightroad?!"
