Finished the smaller one for Talon too, I have a lot of model magic left over so I'm making an ocarina just in case I end up making my friend a Saria costume since I already have a green wig. :]

I haven't seen the Ocarina yet, I left it with my crafty-impaired boyfriend today for him to finish, so I'll probably go take a picture of it in a bit and see how it turned out. :]

How do you make Link's hat?
I've used linen for the tunic, and I think it's best to use the same material, so the colours match. I'm wondering about the pattern - do you just make a simple triangle with a circular curve at the bottom?
And how do you make it fit properly? Elastic in the hem maybe? The fabric is not stretchy.
I tried cutting it in such a way that the front part was longer than the back part (so the hat would point slightly backwards instead of straight up, if it were stiff), and that didn't work. But I have enough material to make at least one more hat

For Link's hat pattern you basically make a long thin triangle. Here's a image of how I did mine.

Sorry it's not the best, but it works. And where you want the sew line is up to you, I have it on the top, where as if you wanted it on the bottom, you switch the pattern.
Measure around the head for the basic fit, and have half that for the left line's length, and that's basically it. Don't forget seam lines too, so make it a tad bigger then you'd need.

Pretty much all I have left is to add details to her harp and paint it, do her hair band thing, and get socks. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find knee high yellow socks? T_T

The test beak looks absolultely fantastic!
Socks - as a soccer player I just have to tell you to either go out or find soccer socks on the net. You can find solid colors in almost any color.

If you still can't seem to find the socks I guess you could just buy some yellow dye from Michaels/Wal-Mart and dye knee high white socks? Those are easier to find..ya?

It's actually really hard to find women's knee high socks.. But I did try some, and I did try dyeing them, and they just won't dye to the right color. I've already found another pair online and ordered them, though. But thanks!
I got my harp cut out today! It's nice and lightweight, I was worried about that. I'll be working on it for the next few days.
