Making Muscles

Hello, I was wondering what is the best way for making lifelike muscles. I was going to use foam and hot glue the material onto it, but I was thinking that they might look fake if I do that. Any ideas?

I'm no real expert on the subject but I think you're gonnahave to settle for those hokey muscle shirts they sell are costume stores, work out on your own, or see if you can hire a professional prosthetics expert.
I don't think there's an easy way to make a muscle suit unless you're already experienced with making full body theatrical prosthetics :\

Try the search

http://forums.cosplay.com/search.php?searchid=1296300

here is the thread that i asked on it, i was going to try to enlarge a pattern for a muscle suit costume for a kid, but i never got around to it.

http://forums.cosplay.com/showthread...ghlight=muscle

Make the muscules a bit bigger and maybe use something stiffer than just material. To make it look ultra real you would probally want to cast them out of foamed latex. Other than that, just wearing spandex over whatever you make will help i think.

Have you ever made a mold before?

This is a more advanced technique they use Dragon Skin for flesh type mask and appliances and armor
http://www.smooth-on.com/d-skin%20brushon.htm

Myth Busters used it for the new flesh parts on Buster as well for it’s flesh consistency.

Here’s a tutorial on how to paint it to look more natural

Im crossplaying as a guy, so even if I tried as hard as I could to work out, It would never look right. Im sorry, but I forgot to mention that his muscles aren't actually exposed. They are covered by his costume, but since its really tight, the muscles bulge out. Thank you for your help anyway. If you know the costume, it's Chaos from ff7 DoC.

keeping on this topic, this has brought up a problem in one of my costume designs.
The costume:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9.../P57420540.gif

Now, as one can clearly see, she has four legs. I am actually going to be mechanizing the back legs and also including muscle flexing to move as realistic as possible. As far as the muscles go, is there anyone who knows what materials I could use, and how I could accomplish this look?
